I have downloaded the brainbread-v1.2-win32server and unpacked it! But how do i start the damn thing?

Put the bb folder you unpack in your dedicated server folder and run the dedicated server from your game list in STEAM and select BB as the game in the configuration window.

Ok, If you want PLAY BrainBread you have the wrong file, you have the SERVER file, IF you are trying to START A DEDICATED SERVER read on #1. Is this a rented server or dedicated box? If this is your home computer, you dont need the didcated server file. #2 To start the server, goto the folder right above the bb folder, that would be the half-life folder. #3 Locate the hlds.exe , that is the half-life dedicated server exe, right click it make a short cut to your desktop. #4 Right click it, goto properties, in the target line add this after the hlds.exe" and after the " mark, -console -game brainbread +ip 1.2.3.4 +port 27017 +maxplayers 12 +ip 1.2.3.4 +map bb_bayou_beta2 +mapchangecfgfile "server.cfg" #5 Edit the IP if you do not have one remove the IP line, #6 The Port specifies what port the game plays on default is 15, chaneg this so you can play from your own computer, configure routers to allow this port access to the Internet #7 No matter what you put in you server.cfg if you specify maxplayers here it will use that #8 Yes put the IP twice, it works that way #9 Specifies the map #10 loads you server.cfg, so your server name shows up on the server list not default brainbread server info any thing else feel free to ask

this is easy! 1: have you got steam? 2: go to dedicated server with HALFLIFE symbol nextto it hl1 not hl2 3: i never tryed it but you might get a dedicated server!
