When I try to play BrainBread, it works fine until I try to create a LAN server, it then asks for a cd key, but whatever key i type in it says it's invalid.
I'm running a genuine copy of Half-Life, although i have lost the original cd key, so I've used my friends keys and key generators, but none will work.
Can anyone help me out?

Generated keys will not work here, and your friend's CD key probably doesn't work here either because it's already being used. You need your original CD key man.

You can try to find it by looking up the serial number of your copy of Half Life and checking the Valve/Steam website to see if they'll find you your CD key. If not, you can always check the Steam support forums or email the guys at Valve. It takes a few days for them to get back to you, but they always answer you. Trust me, I've done it twice in the past.

I guess they get so frantic about their problem they don't care which forum to post in. But that's a bullshit reason, so if anyone uses it, I will bash them over the head with a lamb chop.

And I keep forgetting I'm a mod, so I didn't move the topic. Thanks for doing it Mallic. happy.gif
