I heard about the new project, one guestion, HOW THE HELL DO YOU MAKE A FPS INTO A RPG, I kno insome mods u are in 3rd person but still HOW THE FUCK!

its very easy dude...have you ever played the gladiator mod for hl,or other mods like it,its not that hard,you could right click and open a inventory,equip swords,and im interested so what source can do,imagine even random battles are possibly from what ive seen,the quality if FFX battle style ...ectra and alot more

Here is a news flash, they are not using HL2. Please read the news carefully before making threads like this...

I'm pretty sure he thought it meant a program for modding for certain stuff, not a game.

The engine they are making it on is free for everyone (which is why it is called an open source engine), but since they are making a "commercial RPG" you are going to have to buy the game that they make. They are not making a mod, they are making a full game.

Correct. But things changed, so perhaps the first project won't be a RPG.
