Heya guys, from your experiance, what makes a better HL server? a Windows box or a linux box?

if it depends on the hardware the machine is a Dual P3 700meg (nothin hot, but it does make a pretty good server for HL) 2 scsii drives (the main is 10,000rpm) and 512 ram.

Ive ran bolth linux HL servers off it and Windows ones. Right now im staring at the machine that i havent touched in a month since i screwed up the kernel on it >< So now i gotta choose what to make it.

I plan to have it run 2-3 servers, a PE and 1-2 other small mods that prob have no servers, so its not like its gonna be any high load.

im just afraid if i make it linux again ill spend most my time tweaking linux again and ultimatley screwing it up

for any kind of servers linux is the best os

windows only installs a lot of bullshit no server ever will use ^^
