Will somone please put a dedicated american server up on steam? This mod didn't die because it was crappy. In fact, people loved it. Some 11,000 people downloaded it just off fileplanet, and 1,200 or so gave it a 5.0/5.0 rating When it was big, the american servers were alwasy packed. The only reason penemy died is because there weren't enough servers. For some reason, one day the american servers died and all that was left were a few german servers that gave us in the U.S. 250ish ping. So people eventually just stopped waiting around for more servers to pop up. Someone should get a stable, dedicated U.S. server up and then notify planethalflife.com. That way, a bunch of people would see that penemy is back. Thats just my suggestion. Im dying to play this mod again. Stefan K.

I think secondwheel2 will restart an american server in a few weeks. We´ll still plan to set up a few american servers again, so that there´ll be the possibility to play PE online. Thx for the support guys, even if PE is outdated. PE won´t die as long as there´re enough fans who support it.

BUT if im going to put up a server again i want people to join it. when i put it up for the first 2 days last time i had pretty good hits put the third, only one person and that was me. People have been asking for servers and i put one up and no one joins on the third day.

Mmh... i think this would be a littlebit unrealistical. There aren´t much ppl in these forums and memberpost (related to PE) are very rare, so i don´t think that you´ll have more than 2 ppl on your server within those 2 days. A good idea would have been to ask some ppl (friends, or in different/other forums) to join your server, so that someone knows that there´s a PE-server again.

i know ppl will love public enemy if they played it.
I can think of two problems that could be the reason why the game is dying out.

1) can people be stuff downloading the game in the first place.
To tell the truth i found public enemy by luck and i would have download if didint see the game first hand.


2)if a person want to download is their internet fast enough. Before i got boardband, downloading anything that is more than 10mbs will be a no, no, and you just can't burn a copy of it for everyone you know.

I think the reason why counterstrike was so good not early because it we a early but also because the game as got people to support the game. They have people to say the game is good even tho that its a boring game. Public enemy players don't talk that much and that is what's killing this game. The other mods i play are still around because people tell each other about it. Like the mod im playing now ns3.0 i have told all my friends to download it and know ns as got some new players. I also told them to download public enemy but know servers up.

awww, i need a steam server!!! i know my roomate and i would be regular players on a low ping us server. also, it would be a cool idea to make a small patch for penemy so you can have news sites generate interest again.

Ok... i´ll send spin the correct version of arena. The last patch of PE included the old buggy version again... don´t know why. In the fixed arenamap the players have another viewangle, so you cannot kill someone with the first shot through the wall.

i may be able to book some servers off gamearena australia. they always have low ping servers and it is owned by the telecommunication gaints telstra.

And does anyone know a console command that can make you change mods while in the middle of the game.

Are you still considering to start an american or australian gameserver? I think it would be good to have some server outside of germany (see the news).

And no, there is no such command, but there are server side addons like adminmod (I think) which allow switching mods.

Yes. It would be great to have an american server, because most players are from USA.

aye... we had an american server for beta1.2 I think, but dunno who's set it up

@American players: Sometimes there´s a canadian server, so you should be able to play with good pings. We´ll try to organize an american server with the release of the next pe-patch.
