i downloaded the file for brainbread and when i tryed to play it, a message pop uped saying it was looking for a hl.exe. file i wondering why it isn't there? someone wanna help me with this:D

First be sure you have half life installed. And no not half life 2.
Second, be sure you have actually loaded half life the game to allow steam to recognize that half life itself has actually been used on your system. Close that, then try opening Brainbread.  |

why can't it be half life 2? or where i can get half-life free download?

The source version will be coming out soon enough. Also, no there are no "Free" downloads of it. Actually there are, but the thing is you need a CD-Key not used by anyone else yet. That is hard to find unless you actually have it. Also, the original Half-Life only costs aroun $5-$10 depending on the store owner. So just go buy it.

To play Original Brainbread you need "Half Life" the original or steam download.
To play Brainbread Source you need "Half Life 2". |
