I am not new to the forums or Brain Bread. I have been playing it for a long tiem but never decided to sign up for the forums until now. One question I have is, what is the difference? Is there any new gameplay or is it just better effects and graphics?

Umm, maybe. I have joined alot of severs. I mainly hang out in the .BAD. Server.

On topic: Hmm, oh well. I didn't expect anything mid numbing features. I will still play it because it is too damn fun and addictive.

I want a better graphics card for my comp, so I can play brainbread source with smooth graphics biggrin.gif

Yes, this game is so fun and addicting!!!

And btw, can you still decapitate the zombie??? biggrin.gif

New and better looking weapons, new and better looking, and possible better playable maps, new and better looking zombies, although there will be fewer.
New and better sounds?

Pretty much BB + 1, at the moment the testing version is rough around the edges but a month or two more polishing it will be BB on steroids biggrin.gif

Some extra planned features we are going to have is much smarter zombies, so they can properly navigate complex areas without getting stuck.

I also want to investigate this new context sensitive animation system they have put in EP1, so for example you could have zombies smashing in windows intime with animations or climbing cars etc.

Of course we will have the upgrades that the Source engine has recently introduced like phong shading and HDR.

Posted by: iliketoblowzombieheadsoff June 12, 2006 11:59 pm
wow...

when i play this, i wont be laughing at zombies now.

Posted by: Stone_The_Crows June 28, 2006 09:33 pm
Cool. I'm looking forward to this one. BB is a great game and the Source will be great if it's an facelift to the graphics and a bump up on the action.

Can you guys remake the Mime, please? tongue.gif

He rocks.

Pant "Aka mime" has been remade for about 5-6 months now counting all the characters which were re-made and put ingame within the first month of development.

I played brainbread a while back, but never bothered to reinstall after reformatting my hard drive.

It should be great - just look at the half life 2 zombies! Hopefully there will be some variety, as it can get tedious killing one or two models over and pver again.

Perhaps there should be interesting ways to kll zombie e.g. using flaming gas like in ravenholme or electrocution biggrin.gif laugh.gif

Universal characters does get annoying, but it's easiest. The Dev's would be making thirteen seperate zombie models for each map!

Posted by: SDWBOSS July 02, 2006 07:10 pm
ah-ha I hadn't thought of that lol. Each character would have to be skinned differently for different type of map? sad.gif. Battlefield 2 managed it quite admirably, though I suspect the team don't quite have the resources of the BF2 team sad.gif

Posted by: Joey2cool July 02, 2006 09:09 pm
Of course, they can be reskinned but it would still take more time to get the game out happy.gif

Posted by: SDWBOSS July 03, 2006 06:18 pm
ohmy.gif I'd rather it come out soon with two skins - zombie + human lol

Meh... I can wait.
BB is a good, fun mod, but could of been better. With BB:S it should/could be exponentially better. It would be nice to have it soon, but working out all the issues in a creation such as this will probably take some time. I don't know about you but I prefer that, and a well refined redux will be that much more satisfying.

So until it's released... blubbern.gif

Were there only two zombie skins in the original BB? It seemed as if you were fighting a clone army :/

Can we get a new beta version soon, seems like youve added a shit load more and since we have tested all the original stuff to death we need to fulfill our jobs!

Posted by: SDWBOSS July 09, 2006 10:52 pm
Yes, unfortunately, the work of a beta tester is never done (biggrin.gif)

The only thing the public will ever see of BBS is it's first available release. Maybe even a teaser to watch.

But we are not going to release any screenshots, or wip renders. Due to such reasons we care about making a mod than to show off how our talents from a picture when it's not even something visually attractive, and alone that which holds our development time back from getting another tedious task completed.

I imagine the coding must be hard.

Can you explain to me the simple logic behind the GORE-geous system?

As in .. do you construct a model out of many models, or ..

We don't release our Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe for anybody happy.gif wink.gif

Posted by: Security Corporate July 11, 2006 10:26 am

Admins editing other admin's posts!!! Can't you smell the tension?! ohmy.gif

Posted by: Mac July 11, 2006 05:36 pm
Alas, I never got around to reading it.

Cmon, its simple logic reasoning, I'm just curious as to how you went about doing it?

Skeleton frame with blowable pieces, constructing a model out of many models .. making one model but defining slice off points ..

We won't mind saying it once it's been released. But due to other mods that like to play the role of "Competition" and the community's uplift primarly focused heavily right now on NMRIH.
The point is, we know people from other teams will come around and read the posts. But since ben wasn't thinking much about it. I had to edit it due to the fact that we are setting our mod and it's features apart from other mods and the stuff we've accomplished. Should no way be unsolved for others to see until we officially make a standpoint in the community grounds again, especially since there are a bunch of newbies to the half life community since hl2's release. It will mean more in impressions that we release what's been done to them and to those who are trite and true to the old nature of BB, realize that we are making it better and more suitable for everyone to come around and go back to. happy.gif

Posted by: fonic December 17, 2007 01:41 pm
BB:S team pls dont make the zombies that can brake boxex and stuff cause then we cant camp cool.gif

Posted by: bacon333 December 17, 2007 02:06 pm
How the hell do you revive a thread that is over a year old, anyway?

Posted by: hunter December 17, 2007 06:11 pm
What a bad revive this is the second one this week scary huh.gif sad.gif

Posted by: Zombie_hamster December 17, 2007 08:19 pm
camping was one of the worst problems the original brainbread had. Im not asking for impossible-to-avoid zombies, but seeing as there were places playerzombies couldn't reach (because they couldn't crouch) there were impossible spots, ruining it for everyone.
