Hey,
Why aren't there any maps with rain or snow? Don't these things work in BB?

Hey Kernkraft,
here what I understand about Environmental effects and the Golden source (HL1)
engine.

In defult HL one the only way to optain a Rain, Snow, Fog, Day/Night effect would be using Sprites.
Theirs is however an engine that allows for such effects know as
Spirit of Half Life

Here are some mods that run SoHL

Brain Bread would have to be transfered, if "Realistic" video game weather was wanted.

However I'm not sure of other ways.

Hi!

Brainbread could have been more cooler if the Coder used HL1 spirit engine.
It has some really cool effects like mirrors, fogs, rain etc.

You can almost transform the Goldsrc engine to Source engine with Spirit,
you just need the proper skills.

I used to make a fan based mod called "Brainbread:Redux"(I'm sure you guys heard about it) using Half-life Spirit, But unfortunately, due to a lack of time, I'm unable to finish the project. Coding consumes lot of time and effort plus, I need a book to master C++.

I could some how pass the coding project or SDK to someone else.

Oh well...

Thx for the infos, the concept of sohl looks really interesting.
Oh and rosend, don't let BB:r die!
