You need to register your copy of Half Life on Steam before you can use Brainbread.

ahh that sucks because i used my cd key on another account of steam i uninstalled it stupidley and then like a year later i reinstalled it try to put my cd key in there and it says that it already used that code the name of my old account was lordniko somethin and now i cant remember my password so how do i get another cd key? buy another copy of half-life?

Sorry, but I think you just might need to. At least Half Life is real cheap now. I think there are still boxed ones for retail at $10. Or you could just order it off Steam.

Well, go to steam, and try the lost password thing, and do you still remember your old e-mail you used for the account??
If you do, you dont have to buy a new HL copy.
If you dont, buy one.

i have good news i tryed my blue shift cd key and all of a sudden all my games started to download!! so now i can play the mod!! so i want to thank everyone for the advice that they gave me

When you stop triple posting I'll answer your question.

Is franky21 the name of your account?
Usually it is your@email.com or the steam account name which stands there.

Let's go through the check list:
Your pc is capable of playing hl.
You have a steam account.
You have downloaded the newest version of bb, client only, not server side dl.
You have unzipped if its a zip file, if it's an exe simply run it.
You have installed it in c:\program files\steam\steamapps\your@email.com\half-life. This is where I'm curious. It might be the problem, but then again it might not. But I suggest you try using an email adress or the name of your account.

franky21 is correct my steamapps/(my account name) is not an email simply my steam account name.

uninstall brainbread delete valve/steam/steamapps/ur name/half life/brainbread folder download from new location reinstall from .exe file nothing shud be wrong!
