just curious what new weapons are being added 2 BB:S and is there any possibility of vehicle's?. my other question is with the source engine can we expect to see double the zombies on screen than the original and is there a chance of adding the sven co-op in-game mp3 player. oh and i just want to drop this as an idea instead of every player spawning in the same place why not make 3 or 4 different spawn points and the objectives to complete be in area's near each spawn. oh ad does BB:S require hl2 if so ill go get it asap if not great saves me money towards my serv . email is tff_the_end@yahoo.com contact me with any updates.

I would be very surprised if it did not require HL2. It would be like playing BB with out HL1 installed. huh.gif
Other then that... No one really knows what new and crazy things will show up in the game. Maybe some of the beta testers, but most of us are fitted with blinders regarding BB:S.
Anticipation is the name of this game...

very true but it maybe possible to do BB:S without hl2 if u had the files from hl2 that you needed to make BB:S work.

Impossible.

The only way to play multiplayer on any Valve game is to go through steam, and that is to have a copy of HL1 or HL2 because all mods are just that .. mods. They modify the game.

So you have to have the base game.

CS / DoD is one of the only games I know that can be sold 'as is' but it still includes a copy of HL1. Except for the xbox platform .. don't know what's going on there.

But I was under the impression that the Source game versions of DoD and CS require HL2 installed? Maybe I'm wrong.

Day of Defeat and Counter Strike are stand alone games. The only things they have to do with Half Life 1 or 2 is that they use the same graphics engines, and are made by the same company.

Half Life 1 and 2 came with copies of CS and DOD, not the other way around. You can get CS and DOD seperately though.

Yeah they are not mods they are separate games like D.o.D:s you can buy it in the store for 20$ not needing half life 2. Same with C.S:S you can but it put it into steam and regardless of whether or not you have half-life:2 installed you can still play it.
