Okay dudes, I don't have steam because I lost my cd-key a long time ago (Had this cd since about 1998-99) and i've really wanted to play this. I've got it to work without steam except when the npc's shoot (or atleast barney) it crashes. Basically, can you have it to work with WON. PLEASE!!! biggrin.gif

Won is dead! There is no way you can get mods for hl1 to work and if you can then your cheating steam! You have to use steam.

Cheating Steam!? Steam is the only one cheating anyone here. I have got it to work without Steam and if anyone want's to know then post and i'll tell ya.

Once you enter your cd key into steam it remembers it for you so it doesn't matter if you lose your key. If you never entered it into steam then just spend the damn $9 it costs to get another one. Don't be so cheap.
