I keep hearing how you guys are anticipating a new engine to recreate a new mod in Public Enemy's form. Here is a nice game engine called Amp2 by 4drulers. http://www.4drulers.com/amp.html

This engine has stencil shadows, bump mapping, specular lighting and per-pixel lighting - the works. Nearly Doom3 calibur. Here are a few screenshots: http://www.4drulers.com/ampscreenshots.html

They have released a new version of their AMP2 Engine - and have also decided to release the SDK and Tools for free so people can decide whether or not they should buy it! Sort of a 'try before you buy' deal. Download: http://www.4drulers.com/ampdownload.html

What's interesting are their licensing options - $200 dollars for a personal license. Games made with this license can be distributed through their upcoming shareware plan, released for free on the internet, submitted to publishers, or used for non profit purposes.

Just a friendly heads up! smile.gif

We've allready chosen the engine which we'll use. It's released under the LGPL license which means that we don't have to pay and we can sell the game if it should ever come to a release smile.gif
The engine generally supports all the features of the current top games and we'll first make some demo scenes and tests with this engine in order to see if we can implement the planed features.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will take a look at it and compare it to the engine we're currently using.
