No, this is not the re-re-revival of my tesla coil project. No, this is not actually a project. Yesterday, I was bored, so I decided to design a vacuum tube tesla coil in EAGLE for use with my CX1140. I feel that I have come a long, long, LONG way from when I first started here in circuit design and analysis. Anyways, the design uses a couple of vacuum tubes to drive a flyback transformer, which produces 25kV. The 25kV is then rectified and fed into a thyratron based, adjustable frequency (depends on time constant of R4 and C3) relaxation oscillator, which outputs a sawtooth wave of 25kV p-p into the primary.
