ok I finally update steam(took a while cause im 56k) and install BB. The map opens up fine but when i move the mouse or move forward with the keyboard, everything locks up and the sound of the axe swinging over and over is heard. Plz help me!

yeah man..same thing happens to me..even when i try to create a game it still freezes and repeats the sound over and over...its pretty annoying..same thing happend with ESF... PLEASE HELP!!!

I sort off have the same problem. Only, i can play for a few seconds until it locks up and when it does, the game freezes, sounds r repeated over and over, and then it goes back to my desktop. I thought it might be because i dl some RE skins but now im not sure.....

Did you read and try the instructions in the Crash Fix sticky?
What's your memory?
OS?
did you try re-installing?

yeah i tried setting everything to 0, memory is more than enough, XP, and yes ive tried reinstalling it like 10 times even reinstalled steam still doesnt work..its f***ed up...

Mine does that as well, sorta.

Actually, for me, it doesn't happen until I try to raise Speed or Skill past 1. Then the game locks up and whatever sound happens to be playing at that moment is repeated over and over. This happens both in single- and multi-player.

This also happened to me once when I hit ESC and tried to change some key-bindings over multi-player.

It also seems to be happening with DoD, but only when I load the map... hmm...

EDIT:

It's because of my pointer... 'twas an animated Black Mage one... Steam doesn't like animated mouse-pointers...
