imo i think we should have it... lol, i thought we had it anyways? We shoot a zombies head it split sin half same with the body it's the GOREgeus system. Soz for wrong spelling.

But i still think we should have more, also put locational damage on players.

This is what Ive said for the past couple months every time has requested source: BB source is highly unlikely because the mod team (Ironoak) has decided to use the crystal engine to create an rpg, although they have said there is a small chance of going to source but please, for the sake of all mankind, do not request a port and/or create polls, or even useless threads about the porting of BB, because it is most likely not going to happen, thank you for reading.

Localized damage for what?
Players and Player Zombies?

Yeh. We do need that...

But all NPCs have localized damage.
One head grib for zombies.
2 headshot for most guns for Survivors.

The GOREgeus system would be kinda cool with the Player Zombie NPCs. And maybe add some decals to the Survivors or something to make them look mangeled up.

Would add alot to the polygon count for that.

The NPCs have localized damage.
Players don't.

*waits for reasons to appear* Ahh, I see we have none...

As far as I can tell locational damage is too crippling on player zombies, who have their hands full against sawed offs and the like.

Locational damage will only serve to increase the damage on player zombies, considering sawed offs already have 1 hit kills on them.

Plus you will get "omg, the damn ai zombo hit me in the head and infected me in 1 hit with my 120 hp?!?!one roflcopter"

Personally I see no reason to implement locational damage on players, considering what we have, works.

There we go.

Localized damage would pretty much just be for Survivors because they're the ones with the guns.

Sawed offs pretty much kill player zombies anyway.
Just concentrating the shot on the dead would not be good.

Zombie kills past a certain level are one hit kills anyway.
So it would do pretty much no good, and would just be a benefit for Survivors.

It's hard for Player Zombies to get even close to the Survivors if they see them comming. If most guns did 1 headshot kills at high levels for Survivors then they would just get wasted very quick because almost everyone who plays BB (... enthusiastically?) is pretty good at taking zombies out quick and simple with headshots.

This was probably made this way as a feature...
The good peeps at IronOaks kinda know what they were doing with most of the game aspects.

There is already INCREDIBLE locational damage on NPCs (mind you, it still does need tweaking). However player locational damage is useless and unbalanced. For the reasons immoral said, plus another fact that this game is hardly based on PvP. There is no need for locational damage on players is PvP is not a large part of the game.

The localized damage does need tweaking.
It takes me like 8 shots or so with an M16 to waste a zombie in the chest. 2 or 3 shots to the head.

But that's kind of based in the concept of dawn of the dead, because the zombies can't do anything once their corrupted brains have been destructed. Destroying their motor skills which is pretty much the only thing that keeps the tethered to their mortal shell.

Shots do pretty much nothing unless aimed at the head.
(and if you watched the directors cut of dawn of the dead with andy's last 7 days on video; you can remember him talking about how he shot up one, removed it's legs, plucked out it's eyes, and shot him like 50 times in the torso. But then he shot it in the head once and it died.)

I was referring more to the HS location bug, where hitting the right side (your right) of the zombies head will cause an instant kill, but not the left. This is due to overlapping hitboxes (or so I'm told), which need to be tweaked.

Yeh.
I've noticed that if you shoot the very tip of their head off, then it is pretty much a one hit kill.
2 hits for anything else.
