i had no offense in my post, but you have, ok.
i dont think running zombies add to the suspense, it only adds action. its possible to create a zombiegame with classic slow-moving zombies including suspense and thrill with the right balancing. if you want to understand me, read this: i love most of the classic-zombie movies. the people who did these movies were real artist. the horror (zombie) genre was their passion. stupid hollywoods peoples passion is just making money. stupid people in hollywood started to remake these classic-zombie movies a few years ago to make their money with it. they omitted everything original and creative in the original movies, rewritten the whole story(in most of the movies they just kept a few small things like character-names). the movies were made sloppy and fast. to sell the movies better they added action and lots of stuff for the normal-people, no matter what the real zombie-fans think. they omitted everything special, brilliant. some kind of a new generation of zombiemovies/games was created. a new gernation of kiddy-zombiefans who have no idea of the classic-movies followed. maybe you are one of them, then all this has no sense. |

How can there be any suspense with walking zombies?
You can either run around away or just shoot them apart as they clearly can get no where near you. Artists or not the games with fast zombies are better because they give you what you want action and thriller. Edit: I have watched the old zombie films even the original NOTLD, and I know its a classic but they use CGI good actors and spend millions on movies today for a reason. So they don't turn out like that. There is no way a person can feel any suspense or action from a film like that anymore. Basicley get over it, buy L4D and within 20minutes you'll forget all what you wrote! I pretty much like anything containing zombies. If the game has zombies, I will play it and get good at it.
L4D is my second favorite game (predated by BB when it was in its heyday) the action is fast paste and zombies coming out of everywhere keeps you on the edge while you plug away and try to survive. It is a massive symphony of undead fun that I urge all to enjoy. (as a testimony to how much I love zombie games my steam name is zombie_king XD) --------------------

"i dont get it how people can like brainbread AND l4d, thats contradictory."
LOL! Er why not? brainbread is a brilliant games that recreates the classic romero zombie 'feel'. Slow moving zombies, easy to avoid when only a few about but get stuck in a big group and you are dogmeat, pal. Left4Dead is a superb high tension thrill ride that positively promotes coop gameplay, nothing beats it, even counterstrike. Of course you can like both. "i will never buy/play/watch anything of this new "zombie"-"wave" including all these stupid "remakes" of awesome classic zombie-movies and their computer games." Wow, I wonder how long you will stick to THAT promise?! Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! You've never seen the 28....Later films? You are missing out on some good films there. I certainly am not a "new gernation of kiddy-zombiefans" but I do like Dawn of the Dead 2004. |

I agree, I thought everyone took to the idea of fast Zombies/Infected. It adds alot more action and horror to a game or movie. As L4D combines the both with an excellent multiplayer system; I just can't see a fault in it.
Uhmm maybe one thing I don't like! When you die as a special zombie you should control a regular zombie for the 25 seconds of respawn time. Would add more gameplay to Infected. I also like DotD 2004, and I will now stop licking L4D's ass on the forums. -------------------- Lightsaver the energy efficient Lightsabre |

I really enjoy L4D and think it could be a good base, nonetheless I kinda share RC's view on how BB:S should have been.
