Hi {Idea below}
A suggestion that I think that would be really cool is an way to read newspapers or documents....like there could be papers randomly around a map and you use your "Use key" to read it. It could zoom in. Think the map RECO {Resdient evil cover Ops} in svencoop. When you see documents you use your "Use key" to read them. It will zoom in and show the writing. That is what I am thinking that could be an good idea. But it might require some coding... Anyways in short words...my suggestion is for players to read papers,documents,newspapers etc... Post your Feedback. Btw: Im prepared for Immoral Sniper {Holds Parachute tightly} -------------------- Moderators of Fourms

Sounds fun but would there be a point to this? It would be cool to read about the zombie plague and see where the next big gig but that doesn't seem very useful...Hmmm...You might find some sort of lock and need a code so you look around for a piece of paper with a code on it...???

Perhaps this well open another avenue for people to find those pieces of papers that people write high-security codes on and pin up on the walls of their houses for all to see =]
Putting jokes aside, the paper thing is cool, but it would cost more system resources to run though. -------------------- Ex-Admin of |A.B.C.|'s Super Hard BB Server

Why would it cost so much system rescuorces, for someone to worry about, to have a bit of paper on a table?

Yeah
Like you could see an newspaper on the ground and when you hit your "Use key" it zooms in and you could read like the front cover. Also the zombies can still kill you!!! -------------------- Moderators of Fourms

I've seen this in another mod, can not remember which at the moment, though I know it was a single player only mod and it was done with player freezing and trick teleporting if I recall correctly. Unless there is another way to do this, I highly doubt its feasibilty to be used in a multiplayer mod.
Short answer: Without an alternative, no way... -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

That would be a good idea, but maybe as well, more roleplaying/functions should also be added??? like talking to NPC's for infomation or resqueing NPC's from an area and taking them to safe location? this would encourage more team effort too.

If you ever played the map RECO {Resident evil covert ops} on svencoop. You can see some documents you can read about the umbrella bio-team {Hunk} in the mansion etc... when you use your "Use key" it would zoom and into a paper form with black in the background. It would look like an letter or piece of paper and it would have the date and body of the letter.

How about if the documents could be found not only in police stations, hospitals, the power plant, etc., but make it so that if you have the briefcase already, and the key, you could open the case and read the files inside (possibly instead of actually reading the file in the game, it would save a notepad file to a seperate folder??) and explain parts of the game, storyline, etc. bit by bit.

But the data has to be stored somewhere, meaning they could just look at that instead of having to play the game. And I don't think anyone wants to code an encryption algorithm for fluff text. Then again, the devs just might not care about that issue.
