Ok im working on a LMS map called Black Holst its based off one of the gang bases on the server Era for the game Graal ....my friend and I worked on the map for CS awhile ago but we never finished it and stuff and it actually had textures made from the tileset for the crappy 2d game but im putting in new textures and converting it to bb....its gonna be LMS cuz its kinda small....ill post screens of the orginal thing from the 2d Graal game and like screens from the finished level

Era is kinda like a mod for Graal....its a different server with different tiles...its modern..it has guns...if you go to the screenshots on the graal site it should have some...maybe even of BH base.... but yeah im having trouble finding a replacement for the garage type door...I tried the fire door but when I apply the texture it is like as big as a building..im new to mapping pretty much...is there a way I can make the texture apply good and be smaller? Yeah wtf there has to be a way because in Hl the buttons are small but I make something with the button textures in halflife.wad and its like as big as the person almost.

I made a basic tutorial for ya....
The main problem you are having is that you need to make a brush (or "box") for the door or whatever, then apply the texture. Go into texture mode and left click on the side that you want to texture correctly (front of the door in your case) and hit the "fit" button on the texture menu.
Here's a pic with how the texture menu works.
Pretty easy to figure out.

If you try moving the door around after applying the texture you want, and it messes up, make sure you have "texture locking" on. The buttons that you need SELECTED are highlighted at the top of the picture in purple.

I was just using it for 1 door...but yeah thx Omega but Immoral already explained it <3.... Blender I am using the best textures I could find...and they arnt very good heh so if you can tell me a good site to get some I would be happy to get them and use them.

No your not...well I dunno...not really...its just the style...it was originally called "Zelda Online" and it got sued by Nintendo and had to change the graphics but it is still very remenisent(I cant spell) of Zelda.

WOW I AM FRICKING PISSED OFF!!!!! I went and applied a new texture on the walls I just downloaded and saved and closed and stuff then opened it back up a couple minutes later and guess what.... THE FUCKING MAP IS TOTTALY BLANK! arg...well this map is dead then

Edit: Teaches me to save as .map heh....if I get unpissed anytime soon and have free time ill start it over again but I doubt that will happen.
