1. Extract the Zombie SDK Files.
2. Open the "*.bmp" (Pictures with Arms, Head, Leg ....) files with your Paint programm. 3. Edit the Textures 4. Save! (only 256 Colors!!!) 5. Open the MDL VIWER 6. Open the Zombie Model and select the parts you wont to replace with your own Texture. 7. Import your Texture and now, you skinned a Zombie! 8. Save the Zombie Model!!!! -------------------- ![]() Every second Day a new Comic! |

ok ive been mucking around with it, editing the textures and such, one problem though, when i oped the bitmap files in photoshop there in 24bit format i thnk, i edit them, go to save as, and the lowest it lets me save them is 16bit. so i saved it anyway, then went into paint, opened it, went to save as and it let me save it as 8bit... but the problem is it looks cack now, solid bulky colours etc
what am i doing wrong or is ther eanyway around it? you other guys seem to be able to keep the quality just as good |

does photoshop support it? it wont let me change it to 8bit
i go to save as > choose bmp > save > it lets choose the colour depth, but only lets me choose 16, 24 or 32 bit |

Hey Reeke, I'm a Photoshop CS user. I'm not sure what version you have, but I think it's similar within all versions of photoshop. To change to and from 8 bit (256 colors) I go to Image/mode/index color. Index color will bring up a box, choose to your liking within the filters press ok. Now when you save it as a bmp, it'll only save as a 8 bit .bmp. To revert back to more then 8bit colors, go to RGB Color. RGB = Red Green Blue, the colors that make up all colors ( in a comp anyway.) Hope this helps, just ask if you need anything.
