if everybody turns into a zombie the game *should* be lost....
@Zuwahmbi: what your describing sounds pretty much like ZP to me. zom-b-vision is a ZP invention, and theres never even a slight hint of it in the living dead series. atleast not dotd. and ya dont volunteer to be a zombie. why would anybody want to walk the earth dead? this is mainly a co-op mod, meaning cooperative. ZP is a player vs player mod. so please, try to play together. else we might take out the zombies and make this like ZP anyway. btw, zombies cant climb anything, they smash their way through obstacles. crawling is out of the question, HL1 engine constraints. youll have to play hl2 for that ![]() |

I know it's supposed to be some kind of co-op game (Okay, actually I don't, the website itself plus the little blurb at FileShack describe the Zombies as a TEAM. The players turned it into a co-op for whatever reason.), what I was suggesting was that it be made a bit more authentic (not realistic, persay, just truer to the zombie-movie atmosphere). Having zombies leaping around like rabbits and intelligently avoiding conflict except with marines sort of takes you (well, me) out of the action. I meant... cripple the zombie's mobility, but allow them to manuever over obstacles, to prevent camping, sniping, etc. The torso thing was a little extreme, but everything else, I thought, was reasonable.
I think that if you take away the complaints players were having about the zombie transformation, you could make the game more interesting. You could also maybe take the zombie players out of the game, so they can't score points and "win"... just leave them in to muck up the other players (for laughs, it's a game remember). That way there's no competition, just survival. But I think the players being zombies is necessary to the theme of the game. If you just kept respawning, then what would be the point exactly? Doing the same 5 objectives over and over is only fun the first 50 times you do it. Then it almost gets old, kind of. Anyhow, jussa' thought. P.S. I've said it before and I'll keep saying it until someone takes heed: If you don't like being a zombie, stop getting bitten. |
