Well then localized damage probably does need to be incorporated into all players.

So headshots/grabs do more damage.

I notice that when I do a headgrab to a marine it does no more significant damage.





Does weapon skill increase zombie's damage?
I never noticed much of an increase.

You need to be infront of them, otherwise you'll hit their back instead of the head.

It does. The zombie hands are basically like any other weapon. The damage increase is 5% per skill point. However if you do 40 damage (don't know the actual value) without skill points and 60 with 10 points in skill, it'll still take you 2 hits to kill a 80 hp survivor, thus it would "feel" the same. Also some players invest points in HP which sometimes causes ppl to think that zombie attacks are weaker than they actually are.

Not having localized damage on players is fine. First off, aimbots are much less dangerous without it, which discourages cheating. Also zombie players die fast enough when they're spotted without the occasional lucky headbuster, while zombies would become much stronger if an unmodified zombie was capable of 1 shot kills against healthy survivors. It's not the intention of the mod to create a fair fight between zombie players and survivors. This is a coop game, not PvP. Being a zombie is punishment and should discourage you from being eaten.

Now gather around everyone and read it aloud: "Being a zombie is punishment. I don't want to be a zombie. Humans are friends, not food."

If you play at upper levels, you discourage those at lower levels to not go for you when they are zombies, or at least you should, because when I do get turned I have god speed, get 1 hit kills on humans, and can take some serious damage. Its certainly a mismatch but the opposite of what you described. I even got a request from someone to get zombified so they could face me. I chased him down, and even though he had the minigun and used at least half of its ammo I ran circles around him, hit him once, and he died.

What's the shit is your level?

You shouldn't be able to reach godspeed when the limit is like 23 or something.

I do one hit kills too tongue.gif.

Level 102. and yeah my speed is 23 but you go even faster when you are a zombie, hence god speed. Played bunkerrush with 3 people earlier and got turned into a zombie, I killed them all, and got about a dozen kills before one of them finally killed me. Fun stuff.

This is what Ive said for the past couple months every time has requested source: BB source is highly unlikely because the mod team (Ironoak) has decided to use the crystal engine to create an rpg, although they have said there is a small chance of going to source but please, for the sake of all mankind, do not request a port and/or create polls, or even useless threads about the porting of BB, because it is most likely not going to happen, thank you for reading.

Well, level 102 is quite high. On the average "resets after 24h"-server the player level tends to be around 20. Of course when a level 102 zombie attacks a level 1 survivor I'd suspect that the zombies' chances are slightly higher... huh.gif

i like the zombie system the way it is i dont want to turn back into a person after thirty seconds i just dont think it would be as fun, if you really want to turn back into a person then kill the other players and get the points.

also if you did turn back into a person anfter you turned into a zombie would you still have your guns because if you did it would be too easy.

Yeh.
But damage increase to health increase zombie's have it better.

Unless a marine increases his speed to 23, and the zombie's is 0, then the zombie's are pretty even.


Zombie's just suck at first.

No sense in worrying about zombie play seeming as it is basically non existent. A smart server/pubbers will realise the only role of being a player zombie is to kill human NPCs. So on most servers you wont even see player zombies attacking player humans. Why? I made a nice long post about it in the FAQ to explain the reasoning behind it. Suffice to say on most coordinated servers PvP is nothing more than this:
"hey man, can you kill me so I can spawn as human, k thx."
