I think we as a community need to vote right now on what needs improvement/change. Some things need adjustment, and we might as well place our suggestions ASAP. To keep this in an organized fashion, post things in an orderly fashion, like this:

My opinion on all weapons (not that it matters):

Axe- Good, but make it glitch less (when someone clicks 2x it glitches)

Handguns- Too many of them. I suggest keeping one weaker full auto (Glock 18), one medium strength but faster semi (USP/Colt .45?) and one strong semi (Magnum? Deagle?)
Also, the Models for "extra" weapons can be replaced by

Benelli M3- Make the pellet spray smaller. I can stick the thing at the back of a zombie's head, and it still sometimes does not register a head shot.

Sawed-Off- Awesome. It's a keeper.

M16- Awesome all round weapon. Don't change a thing.

AK47- Good too, although I think it is too similar to the M16. Maybe add a little gimmick to it like a bayonet as sec-fire.

Tavor- Ugly M16 duplicate. Also, totally out of place in this game. I think it should be replaced. I'm thinking Winchester.

Sniper Rifle- SHOULD drop a zombie with a single headshot but does not. IMO, it should. Also, why would you need a silencer against zombies?

Micro-Uzi(s)- Definitely should be kept.

Flamethrower- This thing is WAY too weak to merit needing 8 skill. It took me 5-8 seconds of continuous fire at a (non-moving) zombie's head to bring it down. What's more, the particle effects or whatever they are lag the server.

Minigun- A bit unrealistic. Maybe make it harder to use, i.e. more recoil, lowers your speed, takes up 2 weapon slots, or something.

MP5-10- IMO it should be kept as is, although maybe make it more accurate on full-auto.

Grenades- Not on any official maps but I have seen them on tacoland_1. They go like 6 feet and even a direct hit will not even knock over a zombie. *Yawn*...

General Suggestions:

Laaaaag...... LAAAAAAAAAAG!!!!! (Let's reduce it, through use of toned-down blood effects, etc.)

M16's/ammo or M3's/ammo should be available as pickups from dead marines.

Make more objectives, like instead of killing Fred/getting the case, maybe just attempt to move through a long map?

Make more enemies (Zombie dogs, cats, birds, etc.)

Make less "spray" with blood and more "chunks". Not only would this be more realistic (I think) but it would reduce the lag by reducing the number of particles.

Must.... get.... explosives....

My opinion on all weapons (semi-copied):

Axe- Its an efficent idea for a meele weapon, we need one.

Handguns- Also agree with the sear number of handguns. Personally I favor the Deagle. Perhaps follow the suggestion of the topic starter.

Benelli M3- I currently cannot complain at this time.

Sawed-Off- Thought I would like to be able to reload if only one barrel is empty, it is still possibly the best.

M16- No complaints. Though the full-auto/single shot alternate would be more "interesting" then Burstfire.

AK47- Great weapon, like in CS, spray factor contributes to many headshots.

Tavor- The weapon I nick named the "Pulse Rifle" this little devil kicks some serious Undead ***. Keep it around, and likely it will keep you around.

Sniper Rifle- I agree, a single shot to the head from this should down a zombie. But otherwise works well.

Micro-Uzi(s)- Though I rarely use them, I see many others use them. They fit in well, pack a decent punch, and can work in pairs. A keeper.

Flamethrower- Should consider upgrading its damage, and may i suggest some form of reloading the thing.

Minigun- Though it sprays out generous rounds, I find it not dropping the undead fast enough, perhaps up its damage potential at the cost of higher recoil. Again, a way to refill the thing would be nice.

MP5-10- Whats a FPS without the MP5? Nothing. This weapon seems efficent at burst fire.

Grenades- Your right, there should some in offical maps. They are amusing for going bowling.

General Suggestions:

I agree to the desire for more objectives.

I agree with more variety toward enemies, zombie dogs, evil mutants, and ooo perhaps a zombie horses and/or cows, i mean Heavensgate contains a Farm Yo.

I agree more explosives would come in handy, grenades.

I would find it amusing to be able to use a Tank or other vehicles.

Finally, how about alittle Holy Magic for the Former Paladin? Eh? Eh? ... sigh... was worth a shot.

as last night was the 1st time i finally managed to play the mod (finally dammit) so havnt had much experience with the weapons to properly crit them, but yeah, heres my opinions on them...(btw i have copied it from 1st post,ill leave it way it was if i agree)

Axe- ok i guess, but then again, didnt use it much, could do with at least another melee weapon or replacement perhaps; katana biggrin.gif

Handguns- yeah,bit too many pistols around,couldreplace one with another melee or grenade? desert eagle best by far biggrin.gif

no no no no noooooooo! i completely disagree with mutants,zombie dogs, hamsters, birds etc. take away the whole retro zombie feel to the game. wel thats my opinion anyway! each to their own...

yeah would reduce lag a lil...

well thats (some) improvements that could be made

This is what Ive said for the past couple months every time has requested source: BB source is highly unlikely because the mod team (Ironoak) has decided to use the crystal engine to create an rpg, although they have said there is a small chance of going to source but please, for the sake of all mankind, do not request a port and/or create polls, or even useless threads about the porting of BB, because it is most likely not going to happen, thank you for reading.

axe - damage is good in next patch ^^
ak47 - replace
more shotguns
remove tavor
sniper rifle needs better model,silencer is just stupid
flamethrower needs more damage!
make minigun harder to use(like he said,make you slower and more recoil)

At the moment, bb has more "army style" weapons.. which i dont like,i prefer something like personal firearms

wait til lthe next patch there have been some changes in damage.

after it comes out, play with the tavor again. belive me, its anything but useless with a few points in skill.

next patch also: lag should be reduced.

blood chunks, i dont see that happening. simply because the current sprites are easyer to do and it becomes very complicated to make the blood like in the romero movies.

ammo drops: not happening.

more objectives: in the future

more enemy's: not likely, maybe in the future, if enough people want it.

there is a way to fool the HL engine into thinking all the weapons are one, and thus bypass the weapon limit. TS did it, i think FA did it, and DoD did it.

BB has the max # of weapons for HL ? I think not, go play The Specialists, there's tons more weapons in that game 10 pistols (+ 4 akimbo variants), 7 smgs (+akimbo on the uzis), 5 shotguns, 5 rifles, 2 knives, a frag nade, and a machine gun so 36 all and all. BB has something around 20 or so weapon animations (I don't know the exact # of weapons, but its somewhere along the lines of mid 20s) in the .qc so weapons can definately be added. Keep the pistols, there's nothing wrong with them, just balance them more.

BB has 21 ACTIVE weapons right now (the case counts as one), now true the HL limit is 36, however here are some weapons that still are there (from porting from PE), but are not usuable:

Sorry... i'm out of time, so i just read the first post.

I totally agree with Echolon in the changes/improvements of the weapons. Absolutly!

Benelli --> stronger, Tavor ---> replaced, Sniper ---> one headshot kills etc

Some things have been changed in the patch, but you've to decide on your own. I think the flamer still needs to be stronger. ^^

Yea. Stoner should be replaced with Bolt-action Sniper-Rifle.
Spas should be added with somekind of secondaryattack.
Benelli should be kept as a more accurary weapon.
Sawedoff shotty should be kept, no more cleaning your both barrels to 200feet with 5 headshots.
