there's all kinds of stuff people would love to see in this game and in reality little if not none of it will ever be put into the game.
my idea would make this mod much more dynamic, almost like an open source mod. people could make custom content rangeing from new gun's, to zombie & player modles, to sounds, and objectives. then allow people to download it all like a custom map. imagine a dawn of the dead server, or decide thats not you're zombie killing plesure goto a evil dead server. hell what about a non-zombie zombie game. personaly i'd like to see a realistic zombie game with a realistic weapon set (i.e. more civilian guns) and limited ammo. the sky would be the limit... this also creates a great base of content and helps promote freshness within the mod. as it is everyone has to wait for new content in the form of a patch. if it was set up this way new weapon set's/modles, ect. would be coming out daily. and all this could be wraped up into one nice neat unified sdk. a nurfed (begginer) mode and an expert mode would be the best. this way someone could take a template with a pretty gui and make the deagle act like a different gun then simply import a different weapon model. while an expert would go in and code his stuff from scratch. this game could become somthing much more then it ever intended with little effort. i hope someone consider's this as a possible avenu and if anything you the reader should feel free to rip this idea off and use it for you're own projects cause i would love to see this in any incarnation it may surface in. -------------------- SMOKE 1 FO DA PO 1

not to burst your bubble, but this is already possible.
the HL1 engine is the most friendly to mod thing out there. thats why soo many mods for it exist today. you can customize anything. replace sounds in the sound directory. replace models in the models directory, with downloaded ones or custom made ones in milkshape 3d (google that one) some skins ingame are actually custom made, thanks to a skin contest before the release of the game. but really, sounds, models, and maps can be made using a sound program, milkshape 3d, and valve hammer 3.4. and all imported without problems. |

i dont think i made my self clear enough & i applogize for that.
i under stand how custom stuff is created. what im suggesting is the ability to load custom content on the fly. like tss said there are already custom zombie model's in bb but there wont be new ones till a patch is made avaliable or you download them you're self. but if bb incorperated this idea new zombie modles would be avaliable as fast as people can churn them out. as it is right now if you want custom models you have to find them and over write existing models. even then you may be the only person who is actually seeing the custom models cause other's havent taken the time to go find them or dont know they exist and like i said you would be over writing models that already exist. so you're still stuck with a fixed set of zombies no matter what. with my idea new models and entites for them would be created by the user. i.e. like an open source mod... ![]() i hope that explaination is better. im kinda figuring out the detail's on the fly. im not even sure this is possable... -------------------- SMOKE 1 FO DA PO 1
