Well, I was only getting at that it was odd there happens to be no Females in general.

However, there are some towns in the world which have only one predominate race, but never once have I seen a town of strickly one sex.

I think I see your point about that. However, the concept of Pirates (I think someone said something about someones idea of adding pirates) and Miraculous Vaporizing women doesn't exactly give an entire answer. Even if women vaporized upon contracting the virus, it doesn't explain potential survivors.

Though, I do admit there is a possibility that no women survive the event

Hence why I suggested this theory:

The virus reaction and destruction time is excelerated by the presence of estrogen (acts like a catalyst). Because woman have higher levels of estrogen than man, they go through the death process much faster and are thus much more quickly consumed by the virus than men!!

This thread needs some <ahem> new blood. It's a valid topic that's in a rut.

What would Aliens have been without Ripley? What would Resident Evil be without Jill? Neither were "sexy" characters. They were just intelligent, strong, and capable women that added a lot to their respective franchises.

I think Renegade is probably right that the vast majority of the people playing this mod are male. As such, adding some ill-clothed babe chacter would shift the focus of the game away from the grim task of blastin' zombies, and that's disrespect to the quality of the mod the BB team has put together.

I could go on about this for a while, but I'll just say that:
a.) chicks are cool
b.) a female character (and zombies?) could make BrainBread even cooler, without distracting from the environment and offending the few female gamers that may dare to brave such a testosterone-soaked mod.

Now, on the other hand, there's the issue of story continuity and that whole vaporization effect. I totally appreciate that this scenario saves the time of having to go back and model/animate the women that may have been simply omitted by accident in the beginning. And I appreciate that this frees up the team to focus on adding maps and features. Given the choice, I'd vote for maps and features too. But if you guys find the time and the desire, I don't think anyone here would mind ignoring backstory inconsistencies.

Heck, if it'd be appreciated, I'd even volunteer to do some character sketches. Or run a contest in the forums to design the new character...

Oh yeah we totally agree on that concept. Adding Females to the game would really improve the effects.

But the whole Pirates and Vaporizing women thing was merely an explaination for why there happens to be no women presently.

I have say it could be ONLY a female zombi , not a female player .

But it's true there is no so much caractere in HL , but there is one in the TUTORIAL halflife , and there are 2 in the VAMPIRE HUNTER MOD , you may take exemple from them , also i saw once the LARA CRAFT mod player for half life deathmatch , and now i remenber there is one in the deathmatch halflife ( maybe the same chick from the tutorial)
