Why are there US Marines? Does Heavens Gate have a Marine Base in the area or something? I am a Sergeant in the US Army's 3rd Infantry Division, apart of the 3rd Battalion, 64th Regiment "Desert Rogues".


In a semblance of real life, Marines would be the LAST thing called in for a situation like Heavens Gate. First, it would be the local police force, followed by called up National Guardsmen and THEN active duty US Army soldiers.

Most of the infected citizenry would be hospitalized at first...then as the areas around hospitals are infected, ordinary citizens then are infected.

To Police and some National Guardsmen.

Um,I'm so sure you are in the military,Im sorry I highly doubt it,but sorry if you really are man,I mean your on a gaming forum,seems outa place,once again no offence,but also this is a fun mod,and more people would like to see our ARMY doing something other than being off in some Pointless war....and they look cooler ! !!!

The general scenario most people seem to agree upon (for reasons unknown to me) is that the undead rise in numbers so quickly that it's impossible to control them (like putting them in hospitals).

Since all the world is overrun by walking corpses, all our lovely governments would instantly panic and mobilize every idiot capable of wielding some sort of heavy stick (preferably one that does "BANG!" at one end) which definately includes marines.

And as a side note: Please refrain from posting military ranks in forums. It'll only cause people to try to prove that you're not in the military. The logic normally utilized to achieve this includes (but not exclusively): Pointing out spelling mistakes; constructing complete psychological analyses based on the 2 sentences you posted; stating that it's impossible to be in a sort of official military group and be a gamer at the same time; presenting an officially signed and attested statement of a friend that happens to have a friend that is in the same unit as you that claims that he never heard of you before; posting several epsiodes from the bible who clearly state that you weren't a virgin when you signed on causing your contract to be void.

Sure, no worries. I know how it is, after all, this isn't my first foray into the forum world as a US serviceman.

Well...Marines make great teeth fodder, if you think about it...
