Well, currently, the server admin is able to set the max level. But then I thought... what's the point of setting the max level beyond 67 if you have individual skill caps which will leave you with unusable skill points.
as it is now: hp = 17 speed = 20 skill = 30 So total = 67 Thus any level higher than 67 will have unusable skill points, and since nothing else is given too you when you level up, it makes having a max level value of above 67 pretty much useless! - Discuss - -------------------- |

yea but my reasoning is why give servers the option of higher levels when those levels will just be useless anyways.

maybe in the future it would be handy to somehow define the caps in the listenserver.cfg and server.cfg like the zombie count and such.
that way, it can be altered per server. |

Since 1.1 skill increases the damage by 7% per point instead of 5%. A zombie with around 20 points in skill can easily do one-hit kills against 80hp survivors. Also you'll need much less ammo to bring a high difficulty zombie down. You can, for exampls pop off around 4 zombie heads at medium range with a single shot from the sawed off.
It all comes down to playing style: I prefer to kill them before they have any chance of hitting me. While HP are for people that are too lazy to move while reloading. And the lvl caps are 17/24/35... |
