Anyone else having problems killing anything with the axe?

I go near a zombie, and I start swinging--I get this sort of stuttery animation where it kind of jerks back and forth. Sometimes I hit, most of the time I do not damage. Most of the time the zombie nails me three or four times. It's hard to figure out what he's doing since their attack animation seems to consist of them pointing vaguely at their crotch. Also difficult to get headshots with the axe since either the player is about 5'2" or the zombies average about 6'6" tall. I mean, Fred himself looks to be about 9 feet tall, but he's a freakin' mutant. What I'm saying is, he's got an excuse. I don't know what's up with everyone else.

Ah, bollocks, nevermind me, I'm just griping smile.gif

About you being 5'2" .. the 'perspective' of the game that you're playing from is actually no from Gordon Freeman's face, as you would assume, but actually you're look at things from his upper chest, which explains why zombies look taller to you but look the same height when compared to other players.

Which "twat" put that in?? Why don't we see things from his eyes?

--------------------
This is what Ive said for the past couple months every time has requested source: BB source is highly unlikely because the mod team (Ironoak) has decided to use the crystal engine to create an rpg, although they have said there is a small chance of going to source but please, for the sake of all mankind, do not request a port and/or create polls, or even useless threads about the porting of BB, because it is most likely not going to happen, thank you for reading.

Because that is the way just about every HL mod functions. It also prevents shooting over obstacles that you shouldn't be able to. (often affectionately called helmet camming)

Although the viewpoint could stand to rise a bit more. It can be done of course, (NS has it).

Yes, I don't think it would be that difficult, in FA they actually had to lower the viewpoint from the numerous cases of helmet camming.

I never knew NS had raised the viewpoint, I might just have to check that out.

I played NS for a while, and the raised viewpoint is found in the large aliens / heavy armour. And I must say, Heavy Armour is quite a blast to use cool.gif
