How about a map where the spawn area is a dead-end like in bb_heavensgate, but its safe because across the entrance to the alley is a steel cable, that trips the zombies, making them fall onto a set of big spikes! YEAH!!!

The spawn would be safe, but player zombies would just jump the wire and you WOULD have to leave to complete the objectives.

Anyways... yeah... I wonder if we will replace the Stoner and Tavor any time soon, maybe with the Remington 710 and something else..

We don't have a physics engine, so we can't make the zombies trip. And in addition they won't walk off the edge on their own accord either.

You MIGHT be able to half simulate that with a push entity...

Im not into coding, but an animation + some coding strings off a zombie getting too close, thus playing an animation of tripping should be possible.
Needs some *kaCHUNK* *splatter* *grrggg....* sounds
Later replaced by *wump* as zombies fall on their comrades flooding the
hole thing ^^

Some coding strings?.... Try a LOT of lines of code, considering that would most likely be coded in from scratch...

Then there would be clipping problems as more zombies tripped and others tried to get up...

Too many different problems arise with the implelmentation of such a thing, for such a minor gain...

i dont think home mades weapon will be good for the most of them,actualy...the reload time of most of them would be catastrofic and you would get eated before even have shoted a 2em time

Except when zombies actually attack, and the army instantly errects makeshift forts all over the country... it fits the mod, just like both of the aforementioned items, so that's the way it will be...

I never was serious about the spikes, just that zombies are SO stupid they wouldnt notice a thick wire across an alley. As a matter of fact, they refuse to attack anything not DIRECTLY in front of them, they just kinda try walking towards you anyways and twitching... All you need to do in the game are jump in the shopping carts in slaywatch or on top of a garbage can in carnage; they wont attack you.

the stoner really has no reason for lying at a rooftop,
and the minigun should at least have some bodies next to it.
Read somewhere that since minnies cost like 30 000 dollars and are incredibly effective, marines guard them like gold.
So please, place some boies around in the maps, indicating battles..

Elite viking, if you read the rest of the context, it was refering to how they should be protected in a table top/online RPG, since man portable miniguns are out of the question. They are guarded just as much as an AIM-120 AMRAAM would be.

Stoner on a rooftop, make perfect sense. Actually it would be odd not to find a sniper rifle on a rooftop because that is what you would expect in a movie.

The point of this thread has long since expired, people want dead marines littered near weapons.

One question: Why would there be dead bodies if they were overwhelmed, considering they should naturally become zombies?

They could have shot themselves before becoming zombies. Even though players can't do this, or else nobody would become a zombie, I am sure marines can.
