Great MOD, I'm getting really hooked on this thing. Usually play Natural Selection. I've searched for posts about this, but haven't found one saying exactly this....Now to my request / idea....
I've noticed many many posts saying...
1. IMHO... Then why do zombies get the upgrades? Shouldn't you be like the others? I've noticed many players STAY zombie, kinda crappy. 2. One more thought, I also believe there should be a form of "punishment" for exiting throught the escape areas, like only able to spectate for being a chicken. ![]() Thanks for the time. -------------------- |

You would have a point, however your logic is skewed.
1: Most player who stay zombie are - much higher level than other players on the server. - generally more skilled than other players on the server. If I am a low level on a server, I don't want to be a zombie, because there are people with sawed offs and benellis that will take me down with realitive ease. If I am a high level, then I will stay zombie until I die or auto sucide takes me because it is amusing killing off low levels. 2: You can go zombie at the end because there are people who won't. Would you want to be a spectator for 5 minutes because you and 9 others escaped and there was someone just sitting in spawn, killing zombies while you sat there? In short: Skilled high level players stay zombie because they enjoy killing the survivors, especially the ones that try and stay out of reach of normal zombies... well that last bit might be just me, but I think you will get the point. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

Makes sense. So the problem may lie in us keeping the server stats on permanently. When everyone upgrades like crazy, and beats up on new peeps that join the server, doesnt make for a fun game, so they will leave.
Will try some tweaks on that side. ![]() -------------------- |

@EdgeOnline - Then play on other servers, there should be a bunch that keep it set to the default 24 hour save time.
@smurfy - That is quite a good idea, though unless you headshot 15 marines in a row, it is faster to gain xp as a survivor than as a zombie... so keeping it the same or eliminating xp gain for zombies works. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

Okay. You're a Natural Selection fan ; so you should understand that aliens get superb health compared to marines, but they have to go close range (and for the most part have a one hit kill). Anyway, zombie's are like aliens. Except they have relatively low health, because Survivors can take them out with shotguns fairly easy. Max level zombies can kill in one hit (unless the survivor has full health, which on most servers is not the case.) But no matter how hard you try to ignore it... a max leveled zombie and a max leveled human just don't keep the same scores. The Zombie Gets 5 points per human. 12 people to a game. Okay. A Survivor gets 1 point per zombie, and can take out a zombie with 2 headshots. Over time the Survivor will score much greater because there are a dazzling amount of NPC zombies. And since zombies can't use med packs or anything, they are limited in health, so in theory they will eventually die, because the survivors they try to kill are much more intelligent than the zombies the survivors kill. And sooner or later a zombie will be trying to kill 2 survivors, and as soon as he kills one; the other will shoot them in the back. So ... yeh. The Marine weapons do a much more considerable amount of damage , and they are long ranged. I think that all explains itself. -------------------- Ich werde dich toeten.
