Hello all, first post here. Allow me first to say, wonderful work of art, this modification. I've spent more time with this modification than any other, even more than Sven Co-Op and the famed "Garry's Mod". Infact just another day I got to level 53 in one sitting, and this was after continuous rotation between Heavensgate and the other maps, and in all the time I've played, I've seen some things that would make the experience that more special. Firstly, the sounds, in my opinion, are perfectly fine as they are. I did download a soundpack to try new sounds and they were okay, but the originals are my favorites. As for weapon models however...they're just right as well, although the Benelli in my opinion could use sprucing up. The model seems very thin and frail, and almost held like a rifle. That should be an easy fix I'm sure. For a small cosmetic difference, I believe that the .44 Smith and Wesson should have a smoke cloud after each firing, Nothing too difficult and certainly would look good. I've read other suggestions here and read about a possible m249 SAW replacement for the minigun. As much as I like the minigun this portable machine gun would be very efficient as well as powerful. If this could not be changed then perhaps a mountable gun of sorts, which would go well in maps such as Slaywatch to defend the barricades. Not high in accuracy of course, but once the hordes approach it should be able to tear them apart. Similar to the mountable guns in Day of Defeat, but of course more modern. Another weapon suggestion I had was maybe, since this game seems influenced by weapons normal civilians would have at hand, why not a Hunting shotgun with the vented ribs you use mainly for shooting clay pidgeons? This would be a rather effective weapon and certainly something a civilian would have. As for the M16 I have no complaints although the M4 certainly would be better, as suggested in other topics. That is mainly all my weapon suggestions and I do have a few zombie suggestions. This certainly isn't a critical or necessary feabut I believe some more damageable parts of zombies would be nice. Say perhaps you shoot a zombie straight in the chest or stomach, creating a large hole in the affected area, and if you can not add "blowing holes" in the chest/stomach of zombies, perhaps blowing the entire upper torso and lower torso apart, and/or the ability to dismember legs? Edit: I just recalled another idea I had from before, for zombies, perhaps rather than just all basic infected civilians, we could have infected Marines, Police, Women, and in further development maybe pets. That's all the suggestions I have at the moment, recalling what I had in mind. I appreciate any dev's taking the time to read this, and any constructive criticism on my post is welcome. Thank you. -------------------- Legendary Spartan and Scion of Balance

You say there are things that would make experiance more memorable, yet you do not specify any specific thing.
I said this before and I'll say it again, cosmetic changes are last on the list and chances are will not be done because the team has more important things to add/fix/change. Doubly so since bugs are still being worked out of the mod Stationary MG's are already possible, however it is up to the mapper to implement them. Also, if one can run around accurately firing a minigun, then I should hope one could do that with a M249 SAW and not have to deploy it. "Civilian weapons" - In many states the purchasing of assault weaponary is now legal, since the experation of the assault weapons ban, so M16's and the like are considered "civilian weaponary". M16 vs. M4, get a custom model, besides, actually changing that would lessen the differences there are between the M16 (which would become the M4) and the AK 47. As for dynamic physical model damage to a zombie... please tell me you are joking... That is not possible in Half Life 1, not to mention the addition of destroyable sections will cause r_speeds to soar and frame rates to plummet. In addition, dismantling the legs would effectively kill the zombie as it would not be able to move without a substantional addition of code. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

I do understand all this and only wished to have my suggestions available incase they ever decided to implement features such as these, when they see fit, although I do respect your reply.
Edit: About the dismembering of legs, and/or blowing apart a zombies upper and lower torso, I did mean these to be immediate kills, rather than have the legs remain on the ground and the torso to move. As for the M16 I will get a model for an M4 if it becomes available, so please disregard about the change, but wouldn't mind if it was taken into consideration. As for the more memorable experience, that was a comment in general. I am curious if you have any comments on the Hunting shotgun with the vented ribs? (off topic: by the way Immoral, love your maps!) Thanks once again. -------------------- Legendary Spartan and Scion of Balance

Dismemberment deaths would require additional death animations and models based off the varying results of the locational damage dealt. Too taxing on time wise, work wise, and code wise for such a minor gain.
As for the shotgun, we already have 2 that each fill a different nich, so I don't really see the need at all to add yet another shotgun. Off Topic: If you liked the first two, you are going to want to make love to the third one I am currently working when I release it ![]() -------------------- BB Maps I've made...
