I was thinking that its too easy for a new player to go and get a powerful weapon, so i came up with a system to make it harder for that.
Notice that it uses skill points. Skill level 0-5 | Pistols (Excludes Dualies) Skill level 5-15 | 1 Rifle or Shotgun + Pistols (Excludes Dualies) Skill level 15-20 | 2 Rifles or Shotguns + Pistols (Excludes Dualies) Skill level 20-25 | Dual Weapons + 2 Rifles or Shotguns + Pistols Skill level 25-30 | The rest of the weaponry. What do you think? ![]() -------------------- |

Considering:
- The length of time required to gain a level. - Not all servers save xp forever. How often will someone who plays only casually get a minigun/flamethrower? Not very often at all... if ever. With points usually having to go into hp and speed in addition to skill, a player is going to have to be level 40+ in order to reach the top tier of your proposed system. This system would work, if Brain Bread was single player or a MMORPG, however it is neither of the two. Also, if a server set a difficulty value to something less than 1, no players on that server would be able to access those higher level weapons. In addition, I'm almost positive you can not restrict the number of weapon slots usuable based on the skill value, so your 5-15 and 15-20 range would most likey have to be combined. Moving on to a player's perspective, many would end up leaving a server in frustration or boredom being confined to only the axe and pistols until they pumped 5 points into skill. Another thing is that this would make the skill attribure far more important than the other two, considering until level 25 you can not do everything which you can do at 8 currently. Couple this with the damage bonus and you are going to have tons of people running around as 0/0/25's. Keep in mind that the devs are upping the difficulty across the board in the 1.2 patch, further reducing the need for a more complex and harder skill point layout. Low level characters need not be nerfed, decent concept, but just not going to fit in my opinion. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...
