Weapon Power

Rotten Meat Group: Members Posts: 6 Joined: January 16, 2005	I"D think the weapon power is reduced badly... the only good handgun is the magnum and the best rifle is the winchester and best weapon is the gas bomb... well i"D think the weapons power should be improved and have them be evened dunt ya think but overall i"d like to say the new missions are hella fun and great experience.... thanks IRONOAK TEAM

I think a .44 Magnum or .50 Magnum can do a better job ripping a head apart than a 5.56mm NATO or 7.62mm.

I agree about recoil.

The base difficulty of the game was increased by 10%, therefore all weapon damages are reduced.

You can compensate that by reducing the value of sv_difficulty. If you do that everything does the same damage as before.

Yeh..
Recoil would work for some guns.
It would ruin the Chaingun, and other fast firers.

What if higher recoil was put on the guns with more power per round?

True.
What they need to do is make those weapons good for the situations.
Not just overall killing machines...

But of course I've just been scouring the internet for screenshots and shit... so I don't really have an idea of what they handle like.

Won't get to play BB 1.2 till febuary. (If 1.3 isn't out by then)

Pistol rounds actually have a larger slug than most common rifle rounds, but they're much less accurate and they lack the same force that rifle rounds do, due to the fact that they use much less gunpowder and pistols have much shorter barrels (which means that the gas has a shorter distance to push the slug). So some pistols being more powerful than rifles isnt unrealistic at all.
