I just had an insight a little while ago and I think that I CAN make it work...
However, it could not be done with a simple combination lock. And it would also require a very, ery large number of entites, I'd estimate around 70-100 per digit in the code, if not more, many more. However, I might just make the framework of it to see if it is even possible, I still have my doubts of it working in a map. This idea just graduated to "Theoretically Possible" -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

My idea was part of the "randomize numbers" but also not. It could be made with you seeing the numbers and having to type them yourself, but just as well only saying "you got the second digit. Now find the others!" -ish when getting them, so that you couldnt get lucky and type randomly until you are right.
70-100 entities sounds like a bit too much work... |

A 4 digit code (so that it could not be broken easily with a brute force attack) would be about 280-400 under that estimate... Also, I know of no way that allow the player to "type" the numbers easily. (Would take one heck of a large numpad and probally more entities...)

You'll see once I finish it, I was going to make an entire map, but I'm just going to release the features once I touch them up because I don't have time for my original idea (huge cityscape).
After I touch that one up and release it; I'll start working on a randomized combination locked door... -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

Quite possibly, though with BB's current memory leak issue, it also would dramitically increase the chances for a crash.

Yeah it would be good if you had a map like a lab that had codes or keys and make the key take up a spot like where the gastank goes

That would make no sense... a little piece of paper taking a gas tank space? Carrying codes would get EXTREMELY unpopular then.
