Today i downloaded BB 1.2 installer, and couldnt start it up because of some wierd error. When i tried to delete it, it said that some processes use it, so i cant delete it right now. I looked at my processe, but i didnt see more then a couple of spyware programs and def. processes. I rebooted, but it still didnt want to delete the installation file. I dled a couple of spyware removal progs, they did find a lot of spyware, but nothing related to BB instalation file. I tried many ways to delete it, but it didnt help. even the error saving mode didnt help. I tried to clock-back computer, but it said that there some errors, and with them, the clockback won't work. The only thing helped whe i tried to close all progs, my spysweeper said that it found a prog that wants to start with windows. It was the inst. file. But it didnt detect it before!
Im writing this just to warn you people about the download section, or at least the dl of BB 1.2 installation. So be carefull.

I know this Problems, it happens sometimes if you don't get the complete File and start it.

It's an Windows Bug and has nothing to do with BB, the process explorer.exe has still access to the File, so u cant delete it in Windows.

Simple open the Dos Box.

Open the Task Manager, close the process explorer.exe

Look that Windows doesn't start this process again.

Delete in the Dox Box the File.

"del Filename" without ""

To jump in another Folder use "cd Foldername" without ""

check that it is not loading on startup by typing "msconfig" in your run dialog box and checking the startup tab.

Also, when you restart select "restart in ms-dos mode" then use the commands "erase" or "del" <filename> to delete it.

I have the same problem. Now I did what was recomended and the damn dos box won't delete the file. It won't let me copy and paste it but it says "Could not find the file C:\Documents and Settings\Name>del braindbread-v1.1.exe".

Now this isn't only frustrating... Well, yes it is. I want it deleted. =/

I also tried to download the 1.2 file, but got the same reaction to the first one. I managed to delete that one... or at least I think I did, it's not on my desktop anymore. Is there a way to download it without my computer giving it the plague?

When this sort of thing happens to me I tend to either....

A. Redownload and run the file again, usually works...

B. Scream like a girl..... unsure.gif
