I get alot of choke and loss
Intel Pentium 4 2.0 ghz 1 gigabyte PC2100 CORSAIR DDR RAM ATi Radeon 9600 128MB I run OpenGl 1024x768 32bit color and all the things in advanced checked off. i get like 1-5 choke and loss with 40-100fps i get 40 in big fire fights 80-100 when im alone any suggestions? w00t -------------------- Yahoo: Commander989@yahoo.com

Also I get this with the other hl engine games. I get good fps but it chokes it puzzles me

i dont know, maybe you should uncheck some of those advanced options. If not, have you downloaded newest DirectX? Im not that good in giving tips, so thats all I can suggest...

This is a forum, not a chat room, not getting a reply in 5 minutes is not grounds for triple posting (or even double posting for that matter).
Choke and loss are related moreso to your internet connection and some HL varibles (such as rate, cl_rate, etc.) than your hardware. Try setting rate and cl_rate to 10000. Right now that's the only thing I can think of that might help. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

You know .. cl_rate has a max value of 9999, I think .. and thats only for lan rates.
Try this: cl_cmdrate 30 ] ------ if it still doesn't work, try switching values .. too lazy to check, but values are right cl_updaterate 20 ] --- cl_rate 9999 fps_max 101 fps_modem 101 You should leave everything in advanced on .. no fun if you don't. I don't see any reason why your computer can't run BB .. it must be a software problem. optimum DSL/Cable rates are:
cl_rate 9999-12000 cl_updaterate 75 cl_cmdrate 50 If these still cause choke and loss, try: cl_updaterate 45 cl_cmdrate 35 -------------------- |

Ok i tried the suggestions but it aint work i think its something with my power supply not having enough juice i ordered a 500 watt from newegg im waiting it to come. If it doesn't work oh well at least im prepared for the future for upgrading my video card. I'll reply after i get my psu and test it out.

 . 2100 thats at least 4 years out of date, 2.0 upgrade to 2.66 if poss you know? Not bad graphics card though...I just bought a 370watt psu that should be fine for overclocking  , how powerfull was your psu before?
