Mainly, my question is this:

alot of people have questioned the stoner's place. or its use. well its usefull thanks to the 1.1 patch since damage has been increased somewhere.

what i wonder though, do people want the stoner? or would you rather have the bolt action sniper the black hero in DoTD original used?

I'd like to see a bolt action rifle, to me the stoner just seems a little on the 'cheesy' side. Kind of like, "We need a sniper rifle, lets throw this in and balance it!"

The only way I could condone a ten round, semiautomatic is if it was an anti material rifle like the M82... Bolt action is just that much nicer, assuming the devs keep a sniper rifle, and not switch over to a nice and beefy anti-material rifle... Not that I'm suggesting that or anything

bolt-action, definitly. i always thought the stoner always seemd a lil out of place in BB.

I'd like to see a 45-70 in the game. The one I own isn't a bolt action, but a single shot breakdown. Very powerful.

I was thinking a standard hunting rifle with a scope, and a 7 round detachable box magazine, but the DotD 1978 rifle is a great example of what I was thinking of.

Also, I'd like to note, that the bolt action shouldn't be CS quick, it should be like normal action, like slightly slow.

One way to solve this,a winchester bolt action rifle,like in the next patch,their is gona be a winchester,why not just put a scope on the winchester rifle,I know their is a bolt action version(I own one) and its a very good rifle,and a way too kill 2 birds with one stone,right devs?

. Not so sure. It would free up an extra weapon space, but that means the winchester would have to take the place of what ever it's replacing + the stoner?

Not telling you how to run your mod though, just a suggestion within a poll.

Bring in the 30-30 level action Winchester, but don't have it replace anything, just make it a new gun, easy as that right?

Now just replace the Stoner with a hunting sniper rifle. Bolt action, 5 rounds, same scoping distance as stoner, but much more slower firing rate, much higher damage.

This will even out a balance between these two similar guns. A winchester is a faster, less accurate rifle, with more ammo and would most likely for running and head gunning, while a sniper rifle is for that guy to sit back and help out his friends with the few zombies that catch up.

I also suggest that that the sniper rifle has an integral magazine, so you could load it like a shotgun, one at a time, and fire that one that you loaded, without having to be bitten cause you have to load it completely.

These are all just suggestions I thought might make it work well. And this thread definantly needs to be noticed. =D

winchester is coming in next patch but i think they have reached the model limit?

A bolt would be fun to have, but then rof would be slower. I guess its just a switch around, I guess.

But for sure, having a bolt rifle would be more fun =]

Its no more out of place than any other of the special forces weapons, and honostly, that gun has the power of a .44 and more ammo... its great for close range and sniping
