Wow... how many times do I have to say this? I have supported a select few suggestions before.
And hunter, if you would care to read the thread in its entirety, than you would see that I already showed what's wrong with it. Why do I shoot it down? Because if I don't, the devs will. Also, if I can find a reason to shoot it down, then chances are that it wouldn't be done anyways, if I shot it down or not. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

Immoral, your previous post doesn't really tie this up.
![]() You see a zombie on the floor, usually you assume it's dead. Play-dead zombies add surprise and paranoia, i don't really mind if it's unrealistic, this game has zombies walking around with half a head (sometimes), and if it's not possible for a zombie to play-dead, i don't really mind, sometimes in this game a zombie can take 3 - 4 shotgun blows to the head, i'm sure a zombie wouldn't be able todo that, either. ![]() This post has been edited by _CiviliaN^SoldieR_ on February 19, 2005 12:58 am -------------------- ![]() |

Here's another problem then: Dead zombies fade away within a second or so of hitting the ground. So if a zombie was just laying there for more than a second, then there is really only one thing it could be doing: waiting.
And before anyout spouts "But why don't you just make the corpses stay longer", corpses are entities, as well as zombies. You can have only a finite number of entities, so every corpse on the map is one less active zombie to shoot at. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

maybe the zombies are from "evil dead" then they have to be chopped into pieces, or a "brainDEAD" zombie (but those dosent die anyhow you kill em)

Moon Bride, that has nothing to do with zombies faking death, so that should be in a seperate thread, not here. Also, in my list of things not to suggest:
Not to mention that BB is at the model limit so new zombie types are very unlikely if not right out. If for some reason you want to contiue pressing the issue, please make a seperate thread and do not derail a thread unrelated to your idea. -------------------- BB Maps I've made...

I Agree With Imorral SNiper, The Corpses Fade Fast and if a zombie was waiting to pop up after it was laying on the ground, the player could jsut shoot at it on the ground, and if u make the Corpses stay longer, well that will jsut cost ALOT of extra entities
