I'd love to see a map where one of/the final goal is for survivors to order an airstrike. In the final seconds of the map, the target area will be sealed off via large blast doors. The doors will have blast glass so survivors can see the carnage of all the zombies getting obliterated by missiles and mini-nukes.
Also, this would add extra incentive for players to reach the final mission destination, otherwise they will be sealed in with the zombies in the target zone and blown up!! Thoughts? -------------------- |

Recall, I said: "in the last seconds of the map" Meaning that, no matter when you trigger it, you will still have until the end of the map to clear the zone. It's like the escape zone in most maps, just because someone orders the helicopter does not mean the game is over. You stll have until the end of the map to get to the helicopter. Same with the airstrike. You can order the airstrike whenever the mission becomes active, but the airstrike won't start until the timer has expired. And you could even make it so that it is not just a finale mission. If you make it on an announce system, the airstrike mission can be at anytime in the map. How cool would this be: "Roger, This is command control, we acknoweldge your request for an airstrike on the designated target area. ETA on the airstrike is T minus 60 seconds. Please evacuate the target area now." This way no matter what, even if one player ordered it without anyone knowing, you still will be notified via radio and every player will know and have 1 minute (or more or less) to clear the target area. -------------------- |

But you don't need to end the map with the escape mission, you can end it when you turn the case, so if you ordered the airstrike then the place blows up and the game ends, no need to congregate.

Yeah that would be cool. You could make so you can't always make it in time so you would have to be obliterated.

WOW nice idea, even the lord scottish himself agrees. Makes it a f-15 or f-16! That would be sweet. OR a big b2 could go over and there could be a blinding flash then the game ends. Then there would be no need for any explosion sprites, because they look crap to be honest.

i think the airstrike would b cool...how would it work? pressing a button, or would the level b set to be airstriked X seconds away from the end of the level?
