It is possible, but noone will because it is way too time-consuming and the Steam powered HL1 is better than HL 1.1.1.0

Well, the WON version of HL is a bit faster than the STEAM'ed version, but you'd be missing out on things like detail textures and VGUI2.
I personally like the older version of HL (1.1.1.0) better that what I have now, but that's only because I really dislike STEAM. Though, since BB is STEAM/HL only, I doubt you'd be able to get it to work right on HL 1.1.1.0. The only other way that I can think of is the version of HL that uses WON2, but I doubt it. -------------------- Still mapping away!! |

Short answer here. You can play BB withput steam though i've never been able to use online play without steam sadly.
