Ok I enjoy BB alot, but this has really started to bug me lately, whenever im on my server alone BB runs great at 18 FPS average (good for my 16 bit voodoo card) but when someone else joins it drops down to 2 FPS, any way to fix this?

you play brainbread at 18fps? search the net for one of those free video card offers from tiger direct or at one of your local stores and get one. You know the mail in offer.

Seriously... don't 18 fps give you eye cancer or something?

I do 100, but yea, 35~ish is the acceptable noticeable FPS for the human eye. The reason why your FPS drops is because your server and more importantly your client must now render more information, causing it to produce less FPS. You could tweak HL/BB so much until it looks like absolute shit and your playing with block-models and no textures, but as the others said, your best bet is a new vid card.

I guess it's a voltage problem or the new Radeon can't downgrade from 8x AGP to 4x or whatever the Voodoo is using.

look a spare for the red/yellow/black 4 pronged female power cables, then insert them into the 4 pronged male power outlet on your vid card. Unless you don't have anymore spare power cables, it should be pretty easy to find one dangling about.
