Hi

this looks like a very interesting mod indeed, however i am yet o experience its wonderness since i cant seem to create a game on my comp. i am mostly looking to play single player (given my housemates comp probably wont hack it muhahahhaha) i read somewhere that that WAS possible, ne way...the game loads fine its just that when i click create game and press start, and after the progress meter reaches its orgasm, nothing happens and i go back to the menu with that eerie music..

why does this happen????

i have HL steam, HL2 and everything else and they all work.

some help pleazzzzzzzzzzzzze

thank you homIEs

I used to have this problem. Have you installed BB into your Half-Life folder in Steam. Then run Half-Life at least once then try BB again.

This is the correct folder:

CODE
...Steam\SteamApps\your@website.com\half-life\brainbread

--------------------
Nickname: xxxDorsch
--------------------

Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."

hi thanks for the replies...

so lets clarify a few things.

QUOTE: "I used to have this problem. Have you installed BB into your Half-Life folder in Steam. Then run Half-Life at least once then try BB again"

Darkness glams. Brain Bread is installed in a folder named "Valve" this is also where i installed CS1.6 Steam which runs fine. it is also the only directory that i could install the game into it and it would come up. where ever else i tried installing it it wouldnt run at all, always couldnt access, or open one file or another... so this is where i currently have BB installed E\:Valve\Brainbread (E being my HD) this also happens to be where my half life source files are and where i run HL source..

secondly in my Steam\steam apps..folder i dont have a Half life folder, i only have Half life2 and Counter strike source folders. this is just how the CD unpacked itself when i installed HL2. so i dont have a half life folder but what i do have is a Valve folder which then has a steam folder in it and then steam apps and so on...i tried creating a Half life folder in steam apps as well and then copying all the files into it and then installing BB in it, this didnt work wither. and i dont know if i copied everything that was related to half life..

sorry for the big rant but i hope people can help me now, this is a bit complicated vut since the game loads up i think im doing something right and i should be able to play it.

ur help is appreciated.

cheers

You must have a half-life folder in steam/steamapps/<youre user name>/ Then have BrainBread installed into your Half-Life folder. Also it must be Half-Life that you own. Not Half-Life 2 or Half-Life Source. Half-Life 2 gets installed into your steam folder anyway. You have to change the directory to in you're case what might be
CODE
E:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\[Your User Name Goes Here]\Half-Life

Well all your games should be in steam apps. I reccomend moving your hl1 folder into the steam apps folder then installing bb again into the hl1 folder in the steam apps.

ok so wait a minute...u mean i need to install my ORIGINAL half life(the one i got 5 years ago) in my steam/steam apps folder??????

i dont have a half life folder unfortunately in my Valve folder all i have is what seems like Half life fles scattered around in the folder. and as i said i tried to copy them into a new folder called half life but it didnt work...

is there any way around this? why does it matter where the exact location of half life is as long it is there? right? and brain dead is in the same place....

You need to download Half-Life from steam...just click it in your steam "Play Games" thing and let it download...then you can install it.
