-When there is an obstacle, such as a curb or some other such thing, zombies will walk towards you but cannot step over it, so as a result they "vibrate" back and forth, making them hard to hit except by spraying or body shots, both are wastes of ammo and basically useless with a pistol. Suggestion: make the axe do more of a "sweeping" area of damage (TS Katana, anyone?)

-Sometimes, when zombies turn towards you, instead of just turning around like you would expect, the pivot axis is placed 2 feet BEHIND the zombie, making the turn look really strange.

-When a zombie is about 6 feet away, and as you ready your gun, it suddenly "teleports" to right in front of you. This has nothing to do with lag, as other incoming zombies don't do it.

-A zombie can hit you without actually touching you. I know that this is an inherent problem with all steam mods' melee weapons, but if anyone has a way to fix it, we should know

-Zombies walk up to players/NPC's and come to within a few inches, then teleport to a few feet away to attack.

-If you stand up on a six-inch raised area (like the weapons pads in the sci-fi maps), or inside something like a shopping cart on bb_slaywatch, the zombies will not attack. They will simply try to continue walking towards you. This has led to many maps becoming a "sit on a garbage can and when the objective comes up simply hop across the heads of all the zombies" game. Which brings me to the next point:

-There needs to be some way to prevent players from simply getting 5+ speed and hopping from zombie head to zombie head to the next clear area (one of my favorite techniques, btw).

-On a similar note, a zombie that has been killed within the last few seconds or is just getting up cannot be walked/jumped over; instead, players must go a few feet out of their way to get by. This is probably the #1 reason that people are killed by zombies.

-I can understand a zombie getting knocked back from something like a baseball bat, but an axe sweeping from the side? That should knock it at most a couple of feet, not send it flying into the air.

-All the zombies are the basically the same: white adult males in business-type clothing who are all EXACTLY the same height. How about some zombie hobos with bloody beards? Or perhaps some taller and some shorter, some thinner and some fatter?

If anyone has anything to add, add it!

I suggested the sweeping for the axe, it could be done by adding a little more "bullets".
The others seems pretty reasonable too.

This seems to happen mostly when a zombie walks over an angled surface. So, if you are on the other end of a ramp from a zombie, they can basically teleport over to you in seconds. It can be worse on smaller angled polys though, but I've been using it for...erm Atmosphere! on my maps. tongue.gif

Like when a guy runs at top speed (about 2 mph in this game) and the zombie slowly shuffles along, it is always RIGHT behind a guy?

Fix zombie spawns. People will refuse to get objectives just because zombies will respawn in the same places. That means if we make it to a certain point, zombies behind us and will respawn right on top of us, and kill or infect someone. Other than that, no real complaints.

I really like the hobo idea. I think that there should be a zombie that looks like a cop too, making city maps more realistic with the combination of hobos and cops... and, maybe, I don't know, some female zombies (even though some of the less intelligent players, would use this as reason for idiotic comments).

I've had all of the same problems that EcheloN has had. It does get really annoying when a zombie all of a sudden teleports right in front of you from far away. There used to be different zombies, but they took them out. Some people are working on ' Brain Bread Steam,' so we'll just have to wait and see! cool.gif

We could modify some zombie models to be fatter or shorter/taller. Maybe make zombies smart enough to go AROUND corners than to try to go thru them (sorry zombies, this isn't DotD)
