Jack sat up in his bed and squinted lazily at the small apartment room like he did every morning. However today it was a real mess, he had a shocking head-ache and with the beer cans dotted about the it suggested he had one to many. He slowly rotated his head towards the bedside clock.

10:14 AM

I shiver of panic raced with Jacks body.

SHIT! He screeched.

He jumped out of his bed and picked up his creased uniform off the floor he then held it up, moaning as he did so. He knew his staff sergeant would have a go for reporting in with a un-ironed uniform, but what could he do, he was already an hour late for his first shift. Jack was racing to get ready, slapping on clumps of gel on his mousy blonde hair, while also trying to brush his teeth was proving to be somewhat difficult, he then sprinted out of the bathroom and snatched his scuffed black boots. He grabbed his keys heading for the door, before realising he left his hat.

SHIT, where the hell did I leave it?

He looked around his flat hastily to attempt to locate it, it was then he caught glimpse of the South Yorkshire Police emblem shining at on the bedpost, he picked it up and headed out of the door.
He slammed it shut and locked it, before taking off down the hallway towards the outside door. He pushed it open and headed down the street. It was then two squad cars screeched past sirens blaring, Jack stood and watched, he knew something was going off, all the more reason to get to the station. Luckily he didnt live that far away, it was only a short run and he would be there within the couple of minutes.
When he finally arrived at Rotherham Police headquarters a large crowd was gathered outside, police staff where in full armour and where trying to calm the people down. Jack ran round the back entrance and entered his pin-code.

Jack! Where the hell have you been!?

A voice said from behind him., Jack slowly turned round and saw Dom stood proudly in front of him. Dom was Jacks best mate in the force, theyd known one another from the training college down in Hendon and had been friends ever since however the usually cool minded, laid back look Dom had was replaced with an expression of concern.

I thought something had happened to you.

I overlaid thats all mate, whats wrong with you?

Doms face turned to anger.

Havent you been watching the news?

Jack stared at him blankly.

No I havent had time, I had a few too many bee

The whole country is going mad, theres assaults happening all over. Dom said while Jack was half way through his sentence.

Jack opened the security door and headed in, Dom walked along side him.

Half of the staff havent come to work, we dont know what the hells going on.

They then approached the stairwell leading to the upstairs offices and briefing room, then the sound of heavy boots on concrete began echoing down the stairs, Jack looked up and saw two armed response officers racing towards them, he knew that whatever was happening was getting more serious by every second

Good story so far, all it needs now is a police car barricade where the police are viciously massacred.

i like, tis cool you going to include some crazy guy with a shotgun? cos us Brits don't get a chance to mess about with guns go on...you know you want to...
