I keep going into bb servers where they have a rule about player zombies not attacking the other players. Why? Well...I can think of a few reasons. Anyway the rules are all loosely enforced that the guys who try to follow the rules in the motd get screwed. I always see guys who try to take out the marines, so as not to disrupt the gameplay of others, only to be blasted by some uberleet kid with the double barrel shotgun. Then when they return for some payback everyone starts crying. "You're supposed to attack the @#$% marines you *&!@%$. You're ruining the @#$%_&* game."

Anyway, I follow the different rules on each server but I would argue that this one really ruins the bb experience. The whole point of being a zombie is to attack the players. That's why its part of the game right? Maybe someone can explain it so it makes more sense to me.

Agreed. A little competition is always good. I hate it when people cry about being attacked by a zombified player.

Getting killed by a zombie player isn't the worst. Getting killed by players when you're zombie is pure hell, for you can be sure that you won't get away with just one. I died 50 times on a server

on the map i'm making there will not be any marines, however there will be a room you teleport to (if you get killed by a player of course) with marines to kill. I am really against zombies killing humans, however when it becomes an onslaught of zombies just overrunning the spawn, it's ridiculous. People will play the game just to be a zombie on a lot of servers, and this idea is dumb in my honest opinion, so I've taken that element out. You have your chance to kill some players as a zombie, but when you're dead, you're going back to human or you're not going back at all.

Overrunning the spawn would really suck. Maybe a marine with heavy weapons or a tank guarding the spawn would help... Feel free to post that into the suggestions forum.

Well, the way I see it is that people have their own preferences on how they paly it but people that get annoyed because they die are just cunts. It's a fucking game alll you people, what does it matter if a player zombie kills you. Whats worse is if a zombie gets you. Then your a zombie, I think it's better to respawn as a human.

Yeah, that does suck. So there are the two extremes, the guys who cry when they get killed by a player zombie, and the guys who become zombie and camp the spawn which is almost as bad. But, if you beat the level and there are a bunch of guys hanging out in spawn then by all mean go zombie and kill 'em, they are just making the rest of the people wait.

If TSS were still around he'd say the same as I would. THIS GAME IS NOT DESIGNED FOR PvP action!!!! Why do you think you auto-suicide after a set time? There are deliberate attempts to prevent zombie players from turning this game into a ZP PvP mod. PvP should not be encouraged. Since there is NO common goal for zombie players to achieve, it does not make any sense for zombie players to prevent other players from obtaining the one achievable goal by ALL players, zombie or not: completing the mission and escaping. The ONLY exception to this is zombies who are zombies because they have already completed the missions. In this case it is okay for them to alleviate boredom by having (if agreed to by all) a little PvP action towards the end of the round.

Remember, it is KEY to realize that there is no common or unified goal for zombie players other than to return back to humans and complete human goals, thus it does not make sense for them to prevent others and themselves from achieving human goals.

If you don't want zombie players to attack the spawn; just make sure that the only way to get to it from the zombie_player_spawn ents requires the use of a ladder.

Well i say that it sucks geting killed by human players sometimes. You know your trying to kill fred and some fag noob zombie comes up behined you and kills you. It all depeneds on the server some say dont kill humans if zombie some do just find ones that do if you want to kill humans and dont bitch at ones who say dont.

I say kill all human zombies especially the ones that cry!

Also I ban people that come on my server and just go Zombie right in the begining of a map..

I do warn them and I do have it in my rules in the main motd which most zip past.
