You've been playing on a server for that long and you don't know about skill points? Go into options, click on keyboard, then look for 'show mouse cursor' it should be the third one down, and bind a key to it. I use ; Then, in the game, hold down that binded button (you should see a mouse cursor when you hold the button down) and click any one of the stats that you want. You can select all of them if you want to. The three of them are...

HPS: This stands for hitpoints. It will give you more health.

Speed: You will get faster.

Skill: Notice that you cannot pick up some types of weapons. In order to get different weapons, you need skill points. The more skill points you have, the more weapons you can get. You need 10 skill points to get every weapon.

Just got BB today. Started playing it after reading the manual. Noted I'd forgotten to set the "Show Mouse Cursor" command. Went to correct that oversight.

Went back to the game...And no joy.

Went back into Main Menu>Options>Keyboard. The setting was gone. Scrolled through the commands. It was my non-mod multiplayer setup. Altering the userconfig.cfg does work to "permanently" change the setup, but I can't find the console commands that BB uses for "Show Mouse Cursor" or the others either on the BB site, here at the BB forums, the BB manual, or anywhere else on the net.

EDIT: Nevermind. I figured out a workaround. Moving the config.cfg and userconfig.cfg files out of halflife/valve and halflife/brainbread, then starting up BB and setting up the keys. Finally, replacing the valve .cfgs.
