Ok. You have to realize that creating something completely from scratch is pretty hard. I'm trying to make a zombie mod off of counter-strikes zombie mod in sdk; but i never have enough to time to make it final. Um... you're probably gonna see alot of luck in the 3rd party sources for zombie mods. www.nomoreroominhell.com looks EXTREMLY promising. um... I've checked D.E.A.D out. The level designs are soo awesome and everthing; but yes, there will be a 3rd party zombie mod come out by the end of the year. I'm not even sure that Zombie Panic!: Source is going to be good; but that's commin tru nicely. That should be released soon. Yeah Ironoak is doing No BrainBread 2 or BrainBread: Source as far as we know, but im thinking once I get a job I may have to bribe them with like 50-100 dollar per month donations and get them to work on it heh.
