In my eyes, being a cutter is nothing to be fucking proud about, its something to be ashamed off, if you cant deal with your problems in a more constructive way. then maybe you dont deserve to live. If you dont have the brain power to think of something safer and easier to relieve stress then thats really sad. i know i fit under that catagory now, and i completly agree with everything i said, i do have something going for me though, i wasnt aware i was doing it. I still hate myself for it, and i'll never let me live it down.
-------------------- There are a few reasons I don't visit the forums as often as I used to, they are as follows: 1) I really don't have a lot of time. 2) My hardrive is failing 3) The forums honestly frustrate me to a point I cannot stand it, I've tried to help, I've tried to set people straight, but apparently, the health of these forums only matters to a few people. Thats just sad, most of us have grown along with these forums and along BB and frankly its disgusting to see the way you guys act sometimes... until you pull your acts together, don't expect to see me around much. WHERE IS MY DELETE POST FUNCTION!? |

I really can't wait until this emo trend dies off... then I can finally be myself without people picking on me all the time. I also hate the fact that I see someone like me, I'll talk to them... and find out they are only in it for the fashion trend and to look cool... This age is just so damn confusing.. I don't know who I can talk to without winding up with just some other guy just trying to fit in with the crowd.

My best friend in the whole world is a cutter. She's been depressed for a long time, going to therapy, even been to a clinique for it.
Actually I can understand why persons would want to cut themselves. It vents out things. If you can't get it out in any other way it becomes a way of "crying". Someone writes depressive poems, other cut. But it's not something to be "ashamed" of. I've done a little bit of making cuts on my arm, not as a habit, but just to bing out the pain and see some blood. in closing, cutting is not pitiful. It is sad that someone become so depressed they end up taking out physical pain on themselves, but to call it pitiful and a trend is bizarre. Some might do it for attention or being cool, but some people we define as emos and whiners actually have it bad. |

actually it does, since yer cutting up skin cells and loosing blood, yer loosing the avg amount of skin and blood that a person has, thus making you less of a person. -------------------- Come Skank with Me!

I agree with brasil, cutting makes you less of a person, and more of a red meaty uh... person?
Instead of cutting, WHY NOT PUNCH YOURSELF?? Bruises dont cause your skin to open but to make it soar. Like, a punch in the face, or in the stomach, or something. It wont make you less of a person, but you'll be injured in sadness. -------------------- Current game(s): Uh uh not updatin' this no mo

While we do have the rights to generalize cutters, it is still unlawful in my books. We will never be able to comprehend why some peple inflict damage onto themselves. Some say it takes away the emotional pain (Which is flat out bullshit. I don't care who you are, that is still lies. It is like putting a bandaid on a bullet wound), some do it for attention, and some may do it for some other reason. Are there still no other options that your mind can rack? It bewilders me that some people resort to such pseudo-suicidal thoughts, that they cannot just...I don't know, receive help from others. It's not about being independent, it should be about finding relief. Oh well, sorry if I'm not too clear and is just taken as a mindblowing rant.
