i got the game to start up but when i trie to join it says that my server differs or somethin like that?

i have steam but i think i downloaded the wrong one i downloaded the very top one but when i try to download the windows version all the mirrors are in deustch... and some just confuse me

do i download windows server or client???

If you want to host servers, dl server. If you want to play, type client.

okay now i got the game to run but now i have another problem... the character selection screen doesnt show the pictures of the characters and the hud shows dots instead of numbers and all sorts of other things =/ any reccomendations on how to repair this?
