Hello

I recently had to reformat my hard drives and start over. Before doing this I had no problems with Brain Bread or any of my other HL1 & HL2 mods. I was running a dedicated server for Sven co-op and then would shut that server down and run one for Brain Bread (but it wasnt dedicated just created a server on the main page of BB) and my friends wanted a change from the other mod. I mainly did this for several of my friends online.

I can create a server on any of the Valve Half-Life 1 & 2 games like Oppising Force, Team Fortress Classic, HL2 Deathmatch, DeathMatch Classic, CS:Condition Zero, CS:Source, DOD Source & HL1.

When I try to create a server for Sven Co-op, Brain Bread or Vampire Slayer it starts to load up then goes back to the main page. I have disabled Zone Alarm Pro (My usual setting for that is Firewall(Tab) - Medium Privacy (tab) I have both the cookies and Ad Blocking Turned off. I am running the latest version of Zone Alarm Pro. I also have Webroot Spy Sweeper V4.5 (Latest version) & AVG Free Edtion (Latest Version) installed on my comptuer. I did a Ctrl -Alt-Del and to the proceses tab and closed out anything I didn't need. But still no luck

For some reason Synergy will let me create a server but for the others listed above I can't. I am not running a Lan server its just my computer and broadband connection via a cable router. I have the Router all set up for a server with the Port Forward 27015. As I said before everything worked fine before the format of the drives but now I can't get most of my third party mods to work as a server.

My computer is a premade system I put together a few years ago. I am running the latest version of BB 1.2

Gigabyte 8NNXP Motherbaord (Latest Firmware)
AMD XP 3200+
1 Gig of Corsair Ram
Asus ATI Radeon 9600XT (Latest Drivers)
(4) 250 gig hard drives.
Comcast Broadband Connection
SMC Cable Rounter witha port forward of 27015 (Latest Firmware)
Windows XP Pro SP2 (all the latest updates)

I have BB installed to d:\games\valve\steam\steamapps\MickeyMouse00\half-life\brainbread
I can play onine on someone elses server but I can't create one of my own. I have looked at the BB forum for any answers but have tried a few suggestions with no luck. MickeyMouse00 is my username for steam. I also tried the Steam forum for help and no luck on that either.

What version of Brain Bread should I be using? Windows Client FULL or Windows Server FULL. I was running Windows Client Full before I formated my hard drive with no problems.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Michael

P.S. My Xfire name is MickeyMouse00 (Those are zeros) please IM me if you can help

You should get Window's Server Full, only if you want to run a dedicated server. I never tried did a listen server using that though, so you cant be too sure. Hope you're able to host something for BB. happy.gif

I've been trying to download the Window's Server Full version of Brain bread off the different links listed and they either time out on me or the link doesnt work.

I was able to put up a listen server for BB before I formatted the comptuer but all of a sudden i think its weird that I can run the Valve Steam games under a listen server but i can't do it with any of the third party ones. If I can download the window's server full I will but havent had much luck gettting it to download yet.

Hello

It's not going to matter what I do as nothing works. The problem is on Valve's side. They need to fix the HL1 engine after there Nov 21 update. I have literally seen hundreds of people having the same problem.

For now I guess I will play online instead of having a server up.
