Ok, wanna update you guys on a few things...

1) the first map of my series of 3 is finished and needs tested... (still looking into fixing my steam)

2) the second map is about 1/5 done and is turning out quite well.

3) This is toward RED AXEM and team... I dont mind if you continue my police_con map, in fact im quite honored, just make sure you give credit where credit is due. I have a backup cd with the map on it and i will return working on it after my new projects. So you guys may want to change the name from "police_con" to something else. Im sure we can work something out. Until then, keep workin at it cause im interested what you guys come up with happy.gif

-As for specs for my three new maps:

The series is called the "Alexandria Project"

The 3 maps have the following settings:
Warehouse
Downtown Alexandria
Alexandria Research Center (aka ARC, a lab/office type map)

The first warehouse map is pretty basic actually, kinda getting me back into BB and such. Detail textures, custom sounds, etc will be a part of this. Very boxy looking, but quite large and has multiple paths to follow and secret areas. Shoot_Me's bunker2 was a huge insperation with this.

The city map is going to be quite large, taking up all of the room in the map maker (except vertically). Contains all kinds of buildings and such. This is prolly going to be the best of the three. Most objects can be pushed and used as baricades. Also a paths change, based on how well you do. It is a very defensive map, and if you fail certain conditions, you will be penalized. For example, just after the start, you can take a road to the left leading to the shopping district. This district is seperated into two areas by a river. A marine guards the end of the bridge closest to the refugee camp. If the zombies get too close to him, he'll blow up the bridge, killing all the zombies, but making it much more difficult to get to the other side. Other such elements exsist, but thats all im gonna tell you.

ARC will be office/lab type. havent started on this just yet.

Another update...

Looks like i should have my steam working in january..... sad.gif

*First map done... Needs testing.
*Second (city) map is about 1/4 done now. Turning out quite well!
This map is based on playability and all types of players, from runners and gunners to snipers and defenders, will find this map fun.
- Many types of areas are accessable, much like a real city.
- These areas currently include the following:
-- City streets (obviously)
-- Apartment complex
-- Hotel
-- Parking garage
-- plenty of bridges/overpasses
-- And plenty more planned!

Still no screens obviously....
